Hey malazan readers, what characters you wish had met and talked to each other ? Hypothetically of course - since we have so many diverse characters and their plot lines are in parallel.
Few of my favorite combinations

Tehol and shadowthrone - discussing civilizations and their progressions with layers of madness + genius

Karsa and Draconus - brute and wise meets ultimate darkness / badass

Kruppe and Olar Ethil - puzzling + insanity combo

Whiskeyjack and gothos - on futility of conquest / wars

I am assuming NHI exists, so few follow up discussions:

1. How many types of them ?
   Few UAP encounters on NHI describe small humanoid type beings, some mention tall grays, and recent military footage had jellyfish like being. So it seems like multiple NHI races / types are here. What could be dynamics between them ? It’s likely that few are more advanced than others and their motivations differ.

2. Why now ?
   It’s also likely that NHIs are aligned on some form of disclosure since official hearings are now happening. What’s the trigger now ? Is it AI ? There doesn’t seem to be any other paradigm shift in recent past. Nuclear tech has been developed by humanity for a while now.

3. No other country apart from US has UAP ?
   Advanced countries might not release their information to weaponize them. But why hasn’t accidental UAP captured/ found by any other non militarized country ? There are lot of developed countries with credible scientific communities that could have stumbled across or captured them. And why is no other country raising concerns on this in international forums. Or they are all letting US take a lead ?

As title, why did they release Korabas ?

Draconus was already out and they both had rightly inferred that he would kill them for it.

Errant wanted to destroy Krul’s Warren system so Hold magic survives. Both kilmandaros and sechul saw through his plans and had contempt for him, but they still went ahead ?

Kilmandaros was a nihilist, but even she was scared of korabas. She also doesn’t seem to care about forkrul ruling everyone.
Sechul seemed somewhat sensible as he knew their age was over and it was time for others to take over. It doesn’t seem like he would go for it either - so what gives ? What’s their ideal outcome if everything went as per their plan ?
