MTS only diagnosis??

I’ve been trying to research as much as possible since being diagnosed. I’ve noticed a lot of others have POTS, nutcracker syndrome, pelvic congestion, and/or EDS. I don’t believe I have those or anything else. does anyone else ONLY have MTS?

would an IR be able to see nutcracker syndrome or pelvic congestion on a CT with contrast of the pelvic/abdomen? I would assume they took a look at other veins too in the area?

what about mild MTS? mine is considered mild per my IR but I did have a pretty extensive DVT. anyone have mild swelling and not many symptoms other than a DVT? how’s the stent going? i am getting mine next week and have alot of anxiety towards this decision. i also have a fear that I get the stent and then a ton of issues will start unfolding when my health history has been pretty “boring”. (anxiety)

and yes, I did search MTS in this group and have read TONS of stories. I haven’t found many that relate to me in the sense of possibly ONLY having MTS with mild symptoms but did have a history of a DVT.

thank you.

Diagnosed MTS - stent?

hello! I was officially diagnosed with MTS. I have 50% compression with obstruction. i had an extensive DVT so my choices were to keep an eye on my leg and take life long blood thinners or stent. I don’t really have leg pain. I have swelling from my DVT but noticed in old photos my left leg has always been a little bigger then my right.

my only worry is I’ll develop permanent pain after the stent. has anyone got a stent and after recovery was fine? or anyone got a stent and still have pain?

doc did say my MTS was mild to moderate so hopefully that will avoid any significant pain and swelling.

any positive stories to help with my nerves are welcome. :)

MTS, venogram/stent?

35F, first DVT 8 months pp. 6 months of lovenox and all my blood test for any blood clot disorders came back normal. had a CT and came back possibly MTS and iliac vein is up to 50% compressed. I have very mild swelling. hematologist said he didn’t see any but once I showed him, he said but said it looks good. I have no pain, heaviness, or anything. leg feels pretty normal. Hematologist very set on I’ll need a stent and even asking more info on it (If I feel ok is it needed etc) he was still set on no I need it. referred me to a specialist .. and I am going to see Him this week to discuss if I’m a candidate for one. I will do whatver I need to since blood clots are very serious. Has anyone gotten I believe he said a venogram and not ended up needing a stent? i get nervous hearing about the pain and very long recoveries. Hematologist said it’s very easy recovery which I can take pain well. but I didn’t love how he dismissed everything so easily when asking questions. However, I’m also not sure if it’s mainly the vein specialist would have more answers for me than him?

I guess in looking for stories of successful stents or if any were not needed? i also am aware the venogram will give a better view of what’s going on than the CT. I’m jsut so nervous.

Stent possibility ?

looking for other experiences. I have 50% compression in left iliac vein. I was told I possibly have may thurners. I did have a DVT behind my knee and down my calf. I was 8 months pp and not sure if that was why. but has anyone NOT have a stent at 50% compression? I have mild swelling but no pain or heaviness. doesn’t effect me at all. The only issue was the DVT. just trying to see other stories - I know not all are the same and differ from each person but I like reading other stories

DVT - blood thinners

hello. I’ve been reading so many posts on here and wanted some thoughts to help ease my mind. I got a DVT in my leg where I was 8 months post partum. I know your blood clot risks decrease after 6 weeks PP but I was told you still have an increased risk up to 12 months PP. Back in December (about 6 months ago) I was diagnosed with Occlusive deep venous thrombosis involving the distal left superficial femoral vein, popliteal vein and the calf veins. Been on lovenox for 6 months and just had my follow up. Originally my doctor didn’t want to do an ultrasound at my follow up but after expressing my anxiety, he ordered on. I’ve been off blood thinners for two weeks And just had my ultrasound. I have to get back on my blood thinners for another 6 months. I did get testing done to see if I have any blood clot disorder. everything came back normal except my CARDIOLIPIN AB IGM came back as a 14. Which I was told to schedule an appointment with a hematologist. I talked to their office and just got into a conversation with their nurse. She advised that’s really not that high and considering everything else was Normal, this may be nothing. She also told me how 14 is technically indeterminate and usually they see other tests come back abnormal as they look at them as a whole and not just one single test. Of course I have the app and will go to it. Not for a few weeks. She did help ease my mind. Anyways, the nurse from my primary called and said I have to go back on lovenox since I have a persistent blood clot. and she seemed very stern that I have to go to hematology which I told her I had an appointment and she was asking when. My anxiety told me it’s because something is VERY wrong.

also, from my understanding, this was a pretty extensive clot.

So my question is, has anyone had a persistent clot? Does this mean it could hit be scarring or residue and staying on blood thinners will help avoid another clot from the area it’s built up in? or did you still have an active clot? It’s reassuring almost all my blood tests came back normal. Also, I wiuld assume if it’s an emergency, they’d have me go to the ER. Doc did say my heart and lungs sound clear. My leg doesn’t hurt like it did before, not purple or red either ,.. looks back to normal color but I do have swelling (understandable). any thoughts would be helpful … even about the blood test where my result was a 14…. as I wait for my hematology appointment. I’m hoping to switch to a pill form. I started with lovenox since I was still breastfeeding but I am done now. has anyone had to stay on blood thinners for a persistent clot? what did treatment look like for you? to ease my mind, it’s not because of a new clot?
