Found 505s that look good on my bum but confused about manufacture date

It’s a 513 factory code, with the tag matching the buttons. I think its date is either 1998 or 1981. But if ‘98 then the format of the care tag doesn’t match. If it is ‘81, why doesn’t it have selvedge? Help from the experts please :)

I know this is a merch ploy but the lore is funny and cute.
In the interviews for Vimmy and Jewel’s début, Namtan calls Vimmy her grandchild ? How did that happen? Would View be her child and when was she adopted?
So also, ML have MuvMuv but also adopted Bonnie, making Any their grandkid. Is this correct?

PS. On a little more serious note, when does the company decide that a pairing is ripé for a mascot? ViewJune never had one, KapookCiize don’t have one yet either.
