820 Partner Visa Relationship Ended -> Applying for Student Visa 500

Has anyone here been in a situation where they applied for the 820 Partner Visa, went onto a bridging visa, the relationship ended, and then later applied for a Student Visa for a Master’s degree?

I’m trying to understand how difficult immigration sees this kind of transition and whether it raises concerns about genuine student intentions.

I’ve been accepted at Deakin University and I have more than 12 years of professional experience in the industry, which is directly related to my studies and career progression.

I’ve never been an international student before. I previously completed two years on a Working Holiday Visa and later applied for the 820 partner visa.

I can demonstrate around AUD 62k in financial capacity, and I also have a letter from a company interested in hiring me in the future after completing the Master’s degree.

I’m also planning to leave Australia using a Bridging Visa B, apply for the student visa offshore, return to Australia, and withdraw the partner visa application once the student visa is approved.

Has anyone successfully changed from a partner visa pathway to a student visa in a similar situation?
How difficult was the process and what kind of evidence did immigration focus on?

Would really appreciate hearing real experiences from people who went through this.
