I got tired of cluttered "New Tab" pages, so I built a minimalist fix. Thoughts?
Hey everyone,
I'm currently working on a project called The Tab. I realized recently that most productivity tools are just another "destination" I have to remember to visit, which defeats the purpose for me. I wanted something that felt like a clean slate for my brain every time I opened a new tab.
Basically, it's a minimalist dashboard to replace the standard (usually cluttered) browser startup page. I'm building it to be local-first, so the data stays on the machine—no bloat or tracking.
It's not 100% ready yet (still polishing the beta and dealing with the browser verification stuff), but I'm looking for a few people to help test the early versions and give some feedback.
If you want to check it out, the landing page is thetab.page
I’m curious though—do you guys actually prefer a completely blank "New Tab" page for a fresh start, or is a structured dashboard better for staying on track?
