Fixed the key retention problem!! (370Z emergency key spring)
I bought a new to me 2020 Nismo a couple months ago, and realized that the key on one of my fobs would randomly fall out/be really easily pulled out. I read up on it and cracked the fob open to notice the spring was missing from inside the sliding mechanism which is why it would slide open with gravity allowing the key to fall out.
I bought some new springs from Amazon and attempted to fix it, but the pin that held the spring was broken. Through chance though, the springs I bought are the PERFECT length to slot into the sliding mechanism and then close the case (spring side first) and the side of the case itself now acts as the brace for the spring! For my tinkering nerds out there this is the spring size that works!
If you just lost your spring and the pin itself isn't broken yet, you'll have to cut these down to the correct length to fix the space without causing too much tension.
