clean? or “man this shit is bone stock, not even wheels”

some guy walked past my z and said this, i forgot the typical z street build formula in cali is to either slam it or put it on bags, underglow, full straight pipe, wrap, decals, alibaba taillights and headlights and only 3 piece wheels, and obviously partake in a takeover, u/o but sometimes overdoing it in cosmetic mods can absolutely ruin a car, i’ve also seen some really nice zs with those exact mods (not tryin to diss anyone, it’s your car) just not my taste 🤷‍♂️

stock list
tein flex zs
25mm rear and 20mm front spacers
Fast Intentions 34 row oil cooler +thermostatic plate
White Line sway bar
Z1 slotted front and rear one piece rotors
Z1 aluminum under shield
ISR single exit
michelin ps4s 285/40/19 265/40/19

Squared

I have a 2014 370z I just purchased v1 chromes assuming you all know what they are. All are 19x10.5, +23. I might have fucked up considering my Z is stock (no suspension, body kit or camber.) I loved the look and just bought them without realizing there’s more to it than just slapping some wheels on. I love these wheels and will make the necessary modifications to make them work. I guess my question is what are those modifications, what changes do I need to make to DAHZ so she can sit pretty? (Add photos so yall can see the vision.). Little edit, I know tire size plays into it aswell so if you have any knowledge with the exact setup anything is welcome!

370Z in 2026?

We are looking at buying a sports car. I've narrowed it down to the 370Z (sport or Nismo), MX5 Club, or BRZ ts. I've found a couple Z's I like but I do plan on some track time and my usual spirited driving. Looks like I will need to add a dedicated transmission cooler and a better oil cooler.

Curious what you all think about the 370 as a weekend car these days. I'd love the Z but used ones are holding their value. I know the 370 has a very dated interior (especially now) but that really doesn't bother me and I am used to Nissan vehicles so that isn't anything new. Thanks!

Suspension Refresh, Worth It?

I am curious about something, and this primarily goes for people with 75k+ miles on their Z. Perhaps less is fine too.

That being said, how many people have done a suspension refresh on their Z's (primarily including bushings)

I have been running AirLift suspension for about 2-3 years now and before that I ran coilovers for a couple years as well. So that portion of the suspension isn't an issue.

I do want to know if replacing bushings all around (possibly upgrading them) and then maybe other miscellaneous suspension pieces too, provided a very noticeable difference. One that you'd say was worth the money. I'm coming from the angle of a "higher mileage" refresh, and not replacing for preventative maintenance necessarily.

I don't track my car but it's my "daily" and the roads in Texas are pretty bumpy and shitty so I'm sure the suspension has taken a beating.

Can a Bad UpRev Tune Cause P0011, P0524, P0345, Misfires & Limp Mode?

Hello everyone,

I own a 2017 Nissan 370Z with 75,000 km.
I recently had the car UpRev tuned by a local tuner. Before the tune, I replaced the spark plugs and ignition coils and had a full health check done. The car was running fine beforehand.

Since the tune, the car has spent most of its time in the garage. It keeps going into limp mode, idles rough, misfires, and runs poorly.

The codes I’ve had are:
P0011 – Intake camshaft timing over-advanced/system performance (Bank 1)
P0524 – Engine oil pressure too low
P0345 – Camshaft position sensor “A” circuit (Bank 2)
Plus some cam/crank correlation and cam position sensor codes.

Not to mention that the car struggles to turn on, but eventually starts

The garage found the oil pressure sensor had failed. After replacing it, the car drove perfectly home. However, the next morning on my way to university, it went back into limp mode. I also noticed a rattling noise from the engine whenever I applied throttle, and it would occasionally misfire while cruising at a steady RPM.

The mechanic says the engine is mechanically healthy and believes the issue may be related to the tune rather than a mechanical problem.

Has anyone experienced this after an UpRev tune? Could a bad calibration cause these symptoms and codes, or should I be looking at the VVEL system, cam/crank sensors, timing chain, gallery gaskets, or something else?

What could be this sound in the video?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Need your help.

Recently I added onto my 370, fiber nismo body kits.

I replaced the diff mounting to poly diff mountings from whiteline

Transmission mount replaced to oem stock ones

25mm Spacers added to the all 4 sides

Problem:

When I drive around 110 km/h and above there is an annoying vibration in the car I can feel it and see it on the steering wheel especially.

I thought it was tires, so refilled the tires. The vibration reduced slightly but is still there.

Am I missing something?

Could use your help guys.

Z1 Motorsports so unprofessional

I ordered an oil cooler from z1 since I noticed my oil tempest was creeping into 240F. Z1 oil cooler on their website was on sale so I ordered one and waited, assuming it would take couple of days before they ship it. Fast forward to 1 month later, I've been going back and forth with them about the order since it had only been confirmed but never shipped out. But all I've been getting is "it's back ordered we don't know even know when it'll be back in stock lmao" like why would you put something on sale if you don't even have inventory?

Is 13k a good price for a base model 2016 370z with 70k miles? Clean Title etc??

It’s a base model Automatic Transmission without any mods, bone stock. Factory radio everything is literally from the factory.

Polyurethane engine mounts?

Has anyone swapped out their OEM ones with these? I'm looking at the ISR ones because I'm nearing the end of the FBO build, and my car is eight years old at this point. I'm just wondering for those who have swapped them out, how dramatically did it impact the daily drivability? I know it causes some cabin noise and vibration, so I'm just worried about how severe it would be.
