Hey everyone,

I recently found this old Seiko in some of my stuff and I’m trying to figure out whether it’s authentic or not.

What confuses me is that the dial says both “Quartz” and “21 Jewels,” which seems strange to me. I also see that the bracelet may have been replaced at some point.

I was wondering:

• Is this an authentic Seiko or some kind of aftermarket/franken watch?

• Is the “Quartz + 21 Jewels” combination normal on any Seiko models?

• Would it be worth restoring/servicing, or should I just pass on it if it’s not authentic?
