Obligatory post for my new watch! Beautiful Seiko Speedtimer (new reference). Bought to mark my birthday and a special family holiday. Currently in love.

Purple is my favourite color so couldn’t go wrong! Really difficult to capture it on foto but it looks so much more deep purple in person, I love it!

My order got canceled a couple of weeks ago. I tried my luck yesterday and walked into another watch store in town that thankfully had one left.
It’s even more amazing in person!

Just wanted to share my solar Seiko n a presidential bracelet! I like that those bracelet has an integrated clasp rather than a traditional folding one.

What do you think?!

I'm practicing restoring cases and this Seiko Type II case was pretty banged up.

I want to polish but try to keep the sharp edges. That means the worst gouges stay because I'm using a Dremel and diamond polishing pastes from 450 to 30,000. I have 80,000 but I think 30K is enough.

The idea isn't perfection but to restore the "pop". I only did the crown side (5 steps) alternating vertical and horizontal.

The brush finish I will clean up by using some 2000 wet/dry on a sheet of glass.

Here is my final core 8. Straps and bracelets rotate between my watches.

SPB143J1: Such a dream of a versatile watch that goes with so many straps and bracelets. Here it is on a Forstner bracelet that has a ratcheting clasp. The weight of the watch head balances to the clasp perfectly.

SSC963P1: Another strap monster and looks amazing on bracelets. It is very light and has a clean pink dial that is subtle. It is currently on a black Roma Colareb strap. This is getting a lot of wrist time using the speedtiming complication for timing burp sessions and cooking.

SRPE41J1: That dial is pure beauty and is mesmerizing. This one is kept on the Uncle Straps bracelet and works into a lot of my casual outfits. The Negroni cocktail is one of my favorite drinks and watches.

HCB002J1: The dial is dynamic, and the color scheme with the gold hits the spot. This Mint Margarita inspired watch lives on a Fluco strap. One upgrade from the Negroni I appreciate is the crown.

SRPF77: A tasteful blend of artistic beauty with diver heritage. There is nothing wrong with the stock band, but the Uncle Straps Executive bracelet goes hard. It is an amazing tool watch that is practical and easy to read.

SPB531J1: An odd but perfect watch. Although this one works with so many different straps/bracelets, mine stays on this Fluco strap. Scratches the itch for a field watch I can have as a daily.

SPB069: Added this one after my trip to Japan. It looks fantastic on straps, but it usually stays on this Forstner bracelet. This one is my wifes favorite for me.

HCC007J1: This one is perfect. No need to say more.

I had to visit 8 different seiko dealers to get my hands on this, was sold out pretty much everywhere in Tokyo this past week. They didn’t even have it at the flagship in Ginza. Lovely watch!

With autumn in full swing here it’s time to bust out the warmer wardrobe.

I always find it a little more satisfying / interesting to pair a watch with a long sleeved shirt.

I’d like to share one of my latest additions to the collection: the Seiko Presage Cocktail Time “The Conte” (SRPL96J), limited to 1,000 pieces — this one being No. 835/1000.

What initially caught my attention was the dial. The texture and the way it plays with the light give it a lot of depth, while the rose-gold accents add just the right amount of warmth and elegance. It’s one of those watches that looks great in photographs, but is even more impressive in person.

Very happy to have this one in the collection. 🍸

Picked this up 2 weeks ago. Loving it as a GADA, the blue is very nice and dark. The only thing that requires an upgrade is the clasp. It’s stamped and very cheap-feeling. Would like to see what other bracelets everyone else is using with this. Thanks.

Just bought this from secondhand watch seller. Im not sure of the model and is it genuine.tried googled and ask ai , but seems no actual direct answer. Woudl appreciate if anyone could tell me its model as well the specs of it
