…well technically my second as I also ordered the sports 5 Edo but that one doesn’t ship until October.
I chose the Mint Mist as I love the combination of green, gold and brown.
It’s absolutely stunning in person and it’s safe to say it’s one of my most beautiful pieces (which actually doesn’t mean much as I just started my watch collection after finally being able to step back from smartwatches).

After having an Apple Watch for more than a decade after I decided to sell it and go back to analog watches. I did like some of the ’smart’ features of the Apple Watch and obviously looked into the hybrid watches. I’m no hardcore sports guy but like to log my regular walks, hikes and steps.
I already own a few other Citizens and Casio’s and wanted to add a Tissot to my collection.
So, I had my eyes on the T-Touch Series; it fitted my ‘smart’ features and looked nice, I only needed to mentally prepare for the price and visit a shop where I could try it.
However, this Friday my wife and I went to a Shopping Outlet (we live in the Netherlands) and came across the Tissot / Swatch shop where they had the T-Touch Sports on offer until July 31st. After fitting and deciding which color I opted for the black one. The price was 645,- EUR.
Coming from an Apple Watch ultra I’m really impressed by what it can do (I had low expectations). The integrations with Strava and Health are really nice and the app is better than I expected. Also blown away by the battery life!
I know the T-Touch don’t get a lot of love but luckily tastes differ ☺️
Dug up my old 2013 Pebble from storage and after quite a few hoops I managed to get it updated and working with the new Pebble app (got stuck in an update loop until I factory resetted the device. It was able to update afterwards)
Currently charging it to see how the battery holds up. It’s not entirely dead as it charges and holds a charge.
I think it’s pretty cool to see this device working again after 13 years!

I recently started my journey in having a nice watch collection. I ditched my Apple Watch Ultra as I felt it became too boring and too generic.
My current collection consists of a Citizen eco-drive (JDM which I bought in Japan last year), a G-Shock and an Edifice (Casio).
Now I’m looking for something more “high-end” and also looked at Tissot.
Since I’m a tech nerd, the T-Touch Solar caught my eye as it’s a combination of analogue and digital style and really love the look of the analogue watch.
I’m not looking for an Apple Watch replacement as I know the T-Touch won’t offer the same functionality, which is fine.
I’m mainly wondering about the quality: I see that the previous T-Touches had their fair share of problems and I was wondering if this is still the issue with the current version and if the app is useful.
Would you recommend the T-Touch or spend that money on a different watch since it’s more of a gimmick?
I’m also having my eyes on the Seastars. Unfortunately, I’m no fan of the PRX (Sorry!)
