I’m Gonna Cook!

I’m Gonna Cook!

Ok not exactly a scientific test but you get the idea. These StarTex seats get HOT when they’re hit with direct sun! Seriously painful!

I have to go out in a bit so I threw a white towel on the seat for now 🤞.

How About That AI, huh?

Needed to send a meme of Tom’s quote in a text to my daughter. Thought y’all would be interested to see what our future overlords came up with in the AI results.

[Subaru]

First purchase in a while, done impulsively in a moment of weakness as per usual.

I love it though so slight guilt but I’ll get over it. It’s beautiful.

It took a massive amount of discipline and hours of practice but I think I nailed it.

Both Subarus? Of course. Both Wilderness trims? Sure. But what really makes this stand out is the extended crossbars. You see, we Extendies are something of a special breed; bold, brash, perhaps a bit rough around the edges but by god we get the job done.

Hello all - this is the LED for a footwell illumination kit. The color is blue and I’m wondering if I could change it to green.

Would this be as simple as a one for one swap via soldering or is it more involved than that?

Also is there any reliable way I can determine compatibility?

Sorry the photos aren’t great especially the measurement. Best I could do currently.

Appreciate any help!

These photos are taken from a YouTube video on how to install an OEM transmission under guard for an Outback.

I have the OEM under guard for the Forester but the pictures help explain my issue.

Which is, my kit is missing those blue discs / grommets (there’s only two for the Forester). I’m waiting to hear back from the supplier about it. From my searches it seems it’s not uncommon for these to be missing. I’m not optimistic that I would get them any time soon.

In the meantime I was hoping someone can tell me exactly what these are used for. My guess is they prevent metal on metal rattling. If this is the case I can probably improvise something while I wait for an update. Maybe with foam rubber. Taking off the under guard isn’t a big deal if I do end up getting the proper items.

Appreciate any insight!
