Fine drive past police with flashing lights
This morning I was driving to work in Adelaide and noticed late the on the opposite side of the road a cop had pulled off to the footpath with another driver facing directly towards our the road down a side street. The police had his lights flashing but was standing outside the car walking around. The speed limit was 90 and I’d slowed down to about 80-70 there was no median strip and the cop didn’t seem to pay any attention to me. Is there anyway I could still get a fine from this? The car in front of me hadn’t slowed down and was still going 90 so it threw me off. I believe you are meant to go 25 if a police has flashing lights but u wasn’t sure if it applied with the lane travelling in the opposite direction and apparently it doesn’t if there is a median strip For reference I always slow down if I am on the same side of the road if a police car has pulled someone over.
Is there any way a stationary police car can send a fine out
