Indore is just a wanna be metro city with a small town mentality.

I am an Indori. Currently, living outside. I always wonder about moving back to Indore after retirement or even before, but when I am home I see the behaviour of people there, I feel discouraged. I feel people live in bubble, and very little exposure to the outside or global world. People lack professionalism, politeness. In the name of being friendly people often cross limits. Lot of people with Yuva Neta mentality. I feel people around very vernacular and very conservative mindset. And this kind of monotonous regressive point of view and behaviour is biggest obstacle for Indore to become a global city where all kind of views are welcomed.
Even all the development projects feel gimmicky and low standard. Anyone native here feel the same?

Mumbai has mastered the game of redevelopment of old building and societies. Is Bangalore on the same path?

In Mumbai, buying old apartments also makes sense because they easily go for redevelopment. It is a norm there and societies and residents are habitual of it. So, paying a high price for old apartments makes sense. I know Gated Society culture of Bangalore is infant in front of Mumbai, but in future what do you think, will Bangalore have same demand for redevelopment projects?

Why Pune has so many Gated societies and Bangalore doesn’t.

Few weeks back I landed in Pune from Bangalore and roaming around here . And I amazed to see so many gated communities projects in Pune, and unlike Bangalore these societies had wider road access And even the projects with only one building were quite impressive. You don’t see this in Bangalore why? People say Bangalore has better Infrastructure than Pune, but it seems other way around even though Pune seems to have traffic issues.
