I’ve seen everyone screaming from the top of their lungs that “bilingualism doesn’t cause speech delays,” but what about when a toddler is showing signs of a speech delay in one language, then suddenly introduced heavily to a second language?

I always thought he was a dick, just based off of interviews. To be fair, he does come across as a dick in interviews However, I watched some backstage footage of the Big Four, and he was as nice as anyone could be. He seemed genuine and took a real interest in people.

If so, what are some of your prized possessions?

I enjoy the arguments on here about each era and think a lot the comments are funny, and I understand if one doesn’t like the Sammy era of Van Halen, which I love but think the “magic” of Van Halen was with Dave. I also cringe at some songs or lyrics from Sammy, like “Source of Infection” and “Wwwhhaamm Bam,” and I also think Sammy was a little lazy with the lyrics. However, I love a lot more about the era than I dislike.

What I don’t understand why the hate for Sammy is so personal from some here, not just dislike for the music Van Halen created as him as a singer or just not liking his voice. He seems to really be a good guy, especially since he’s been out of Van Halen, which would have been when he was close to 50. I’m sure he had a huge ego in the 80s and 90s (who wouldn’t in his shoes?), but he seems to have matured like most people do. I’ve been keeping up with the him since the mid to late 90s, and he’s always seemed like a good guy on radio, tv, in print, and on social media since that time.

If you want to bring up the book and what he wrote about EVH as the reason, remember that EVH slammed Sammy pretty hard for years in interviews, both in print and on the airways, during the late 90s, so it’s not like EVH took the high road after the split. EVH also talked publicly about his substance abuse, so it wasn’t like Sammy was giving away any secrets.

Good Quality. The band sounds great.

I don‘t think I’ve ever heard a Jesus and Mary Chain song, and it doesn’t sound like he‘s heard many Van Halen songs since Eddie didn’t try to play fast all of the time.
