Has anyone noticed how aggressively Instagram is suspending accounts lately and requiring government IDs or face verification to get them back?
It feels like social media platforms are slowly moving away from anonymous internet culture and toward mandatory identity verification. Between AI moderation, biometric selfie checks, and storing IDs, it raises real privacy concerns.
Maybe it’s just anti-spam measures, but it’s hard not to wonder how much data these companies are collecting and who ultimately has access to it.
