hi, so this ad was on my feed some days ago and i cannot stop thinking about it. i have the exact same tattoo in the exact same position (second photo as proof) - are personalized AI ads already a thing and I just missed it until now? is it just a super weird coincident? nobody I know has ever seen this ad. it's freaking me out quite a bit. help me find out if i am going crazy, thx!

A few hours ago, my friend posted a collage of them being silly with their Percy de Rolo figurine on their instagram close friends story. After it finally uploaded, this weird, overexposed face showed up behind one of the photos (see attached image).

My friend took these photos at an amusement park and was on public wifi. The story was taking an annoyingly long time to load because the wifi was so bad, so they turned off wifi temporarily. They didn’t check their story again until much later.

When they checked their story notifications and saw the face, it freaked them out and they deleted it immediately. They then uploaded a new story with the same photos shortly after, and the face wasn’t there anymore.

Something probably important to mention is that the photo that the face appeared on was the “base” photo.

We do not know who the face belongs to. We both agreed that it kind of looks like them, but the hair doesn’t match up. And even if it was, why would it be there and why is it so overexposed??

I’ve tried looking up similar glitches, but couldn’t find anything like this. We’re both so confused and don’t know what this could possibly be aside from an obscure bug. Has anyone else experienced something like this? Could it have something to do with the wifi?? Please help

EDIT: We have been made aware of an instagram glitch involving the app's ai filters seeing faces where there aren't any. There's a strong possibility that this could be what is happening here. My friend could have accidentally posted the story with a filter without realizing since they were in the middle of ordering something at the time.

But here's the thing, we have tried recreating this incident by putting the photos through various instagram filters, but the face hasn't shown up again. Maybe my friend just so happened to arrange the photos in a way that triggered the ai to see a face? Not sure, I'm just guessing at this point.

UPDATE: LMAOO OK SO it turned out that this whole time that it was just a sticker my friend made as a joke with their cousin and then forgot about. They accidentally added it to their story without realizing.

If I have someone’s instagram profile (not a post, but the profile itself) sent to me in DMs and it pops up like this, does that mean the account has blocked me? It’s a private account, but I imagine it would still pop up for me to view the profile if I wasn’t blocked.

I barely use instagram DMs and I’ve got my “seen” signs off, (excuse the mistranslated term) so I’ unable to know if the other person has seen the rest of the messages. Does the greyish color of the text give it away or it’s just the design choice?

I’ve searched on the internet but the answers are either contradictory or people have no idea

All the reels are smaller boxes rather than the rectangles and it cuts out the video that doesn’t fit in the frame, It’s genuinely so annoying.

So i was just chilling, doing whatever right. I get called from my friend and they tell me my account says instagram user and i was confused at first until i opened instagram to find out i was suspended for nudity. I was confused and was wondering what was marked by nudity and then remembered. I sent a image to someone and it was discord screenshots. One of those discord screenshots had an image and the image was a drawing of someones oc crying. I feel like should've not been suspended for this since it was a drawing and not nudity. Now i cant access anything on quest 2 and get messages from people wondering what happened to my account.

So I think I know why the ai suspended my account... I think it's because of a comment about charlie kirk I made on a reel which got a lot of likes. Before that just a week back, my account was temporarily suspended for 3 days so I think repeated breaking the rules caused this. I admit my mistake and all but now that it's come to this, how do I get it back?

It's been 2 days since i appealed, some say they got selfie verification when theirs got suspended. For me, all I got was a "appeal or lose account" option. Anyone whose account was suspended and got it back? How did you do it? Or did you not get it back?

I have 6 years worth of memories on this account...

My Instagram account was suddenly suspended today for “Account Integrity.” I immediately used the in-app appeal/review option, but shortly afterwards I received an email saying:

“We’ve reviewed your account and found that it still doesn’t follow our Community Standards. As a result, your account has been permanently disabled.”

This was just my private personal account that I’ve had for years. I wasn’t running a business, impersonating anyone, or intentionally doing spam/bot activity.
What hurts the most is that this account contains years of my life archived stories, photos, memories, DMs, friends and personal/professional connections I’ve built over the years.

Any help/suggestions:((
