so i know that i might get suggested as a friend to someone im viewing the profile of. but if she shows up in my suggested friends, does that mean she's viewing my profile too or is it just because i'm viewing her profile?
i am an only child going out of state for college. im not really scared in the sense of being in a new environment and making new friends, but i'm really concerned to leave my parents behind. My parents have always had a really bad relationship and it's been a lot worse lately. they never talk to each other, always get in big arguments, and when they do talk it's always about very generic things like the groceries or cooking or chores. they just don't seem to have any love for each other. also, they dont have ANY friends. my dad works but he has zero friends and mostly works from home. my mom doesn't work and also has no friends, and usually just stays in her room or the living room watching tv shows or on social media, and there have been periods where she hasn't left the house for 3+ weeks. my mom also just does not take care of herself at all: she doesn't exercise, doesn't eat enough, hasnt showered in months, and hasnt gone to the doctor in years. ive put in a lot of effort trying to get her to improve her lifestyle but she doesnt really listen. it's not like she's overweight or extremely unhealthy but i feel like she's at the age where she needs to start taking her health seriously and im worried for her.
i've been thinking about all this lately and have been getting really stressed. this might sound selfish but i feel like up until now i've been one of the main things keeping my parents relationship stable, since they had to take care of me when i was younger and probably didnt argue as much with me in the house. i leave for college in 2 days and have been noticing that the past few days my parents have been arguing more often and noticed that the silence between them is so loud. im 1. worried for their relationship after i leave and them arguing, but also 2. worried for my mom in particular because she doesnt work or have any friends, and im scared that me being gone combined with her poor relationship with my dad and her not taking good care of herself is going to put her in a poor state of mind and maybe depression. she already is basically addicted to social media and watching tv shows and she stays up really late to do that and combined with all her other poor habits im extremely scared for her
the latest argument that happened just a few hours ago ended with my dad telling my mom that she 'shouldnt come to drop me off at college' because shes apparently 'selfish'. then my mom yelled that my dad is evil and he wants to send me to a college out of state so that i cant be with her anymore. this just amplified all my stress and worries and idk what to do anymore if i should even do anything
im 19 and used to swim competitively, where I developed a deep tan from swimming outside for multiple hours a day, every day, for ~5 years. I stopped swimming a couple months ago but so far my tan hasn’t faded a bit even though I use sunscreen daily and try my best to reduce uv exposure. It’s especially annoying on my legs where the tan line looks like my legs were dipped in paint. Does anyone have an idea on how long a tan this developed would take to fade ??

I am 18 and have been using ortho k since I was 12, and haven’t had issues since recently. around a year ago, i started to develop dry eyes that have only gotten worse with time. Its really only an issue about 1-3 times a day when they’re so dry and painful that I have to shut my eyes closed very hard for a few minutes until my eyes tear up and start to feel better, and my eyes will get very red afterward. it gets worse whenever I’m in a dry environment like a plane or car for a long time or when it’s windy
also, I got a new set of lenses a couple weeks ago and have been noticing discomfort in my left eye with the lens in. It will occasionally feel as if the lens isn’t in the right spot and there’s a sharp pain, but it’ll go away once the lens ”slides back” into the right place.
im moving to a different state for college in a couple weeks and am just annoyed that all these issues are happening now.... has anyone else had similar experiences or advice? I’m hesitant on seeing my eye doctor about this cause I know appointments are expensive
i wrote this theory a couple months ago when the 6.5 temple of space quest released but never posted it. i saw it in my drafts today and am deciding to finally post, lmk your guys' thoughts
TLDR:
This post will mainly reference the Gnostic text "Hypostasis of the Archons," which is a Gnostic interpretation of Genesis, or the origin of the world.
To begin, we first have to establish a few basics:
The Hypostasis of the Archons describes the creation of the Demiurge as an accident triggered by the Aeon "Sophia". Specifically, the text states:
>"Sophia wanted to create something, alone without her consort; and her product was a celestial thing. A veil exists between the world above and the realms that are below; and shadow came into being beneath the veil; and that shadow became matter; and that shadow was projected apart. And what she had created became a product in the matter, like an aborted fetus. And it assumed a plastic form molded out of shadow, and became an arrogant beast resembling a lion. It was androgynous, as I have already said, because it was from matter that it derived."
Sophia, one of the divine Aeons, tried to create something on her own without her male counterpart (her syzygy). Because this act was out of balance, her creation instead resulted in an "abortion" that is the Demiurge, or the false ruler of the material world.
In Genshin, the Heavenly Principles explicitly parallel the Demiurge, and Teyvat parallels the material world:
As for the Aeon Sophia, the parallel is a little less explicit but still very strong. I believe that Genshin's "Sophia" is the abyss sibling.
So if Sophia = abyss sibling and Jesus = Traveler, that means that the abyss sibling attempted to create something "without her consort," or without the Traveler. In Act VIII of Song of the Welkin Moon, we learn that the twins' spaceship first made a short stop above Teyvat thousands of years before crash landing in Nod Krai:
>"Could this mean that (she/he) left the ship long before I did? Maybe even... during our first pass over Teyvat?"
I suspect what happened is that during this first pass over Teyvat, the abyss sibling got off the ship without their twin. They attempted to create something without the Traveler, and instead mistakenly triggered the awakening of what we now know as the Heavenly Principles. As for the details of what this "something" is that the abyss sibling tried to create, I'm not sure, but it may be related to the theory that the Heavenly Principles is the ship's AI.
The 6.5 world quest strongly hinted that Asmoday's new master is the abyss sibling, but I'd like to use the Hypostasis of the Archons to add onto this, as well as strengthen my earlier connection that Sophia = abyss sibling.
In the Hypostasis of the Archons, the angel Eleleth explains the following:
>"And Zoe (Life), the daughter of Pistis Sophia, cried out and said to him, "You are mistaken, Sakla!" – for which the alternative name is Yaltabaoth. She breathed into his face, and her breath became a fiery angel for her; and that angel bound Yaldabaoth and cast him down into Tartaros below the abyss. Now when his offspring Sabaoth saw the force of that angel, he repented and condemned his father and his mother, matter. He loathed her, but he sang songs of praise up to Sophia and her daughter Zoe. And Sophia and Zoe caught him up and gave him charge of the seventh heaven, below the veil between above and below. And he is called 'God of the forces, Sabaoth', since he is up above the forces of chaos, for Sophia established him."
To simplify:
When the Demiurge claimed to be the only god, Sophia rebuked him and sent an angel to cast him into the abyss. Witnessing this divine power, one of the Demiurge's sons named Sabaoth repented and rejected his father's arrogance and the world of matter. Because of his change of heart, Sophia rewarded him by placing him in charge of the seventh heaven.
Another Gnostic text "On the Origin of the World" contains a similar but more direct interpretation:
>"When Sabaoth, the son of Yaldabaoth, heard the voice of Sophia, he sang praises to her, and he condemned the father [...] at the word of Sophia; and he praised her because she had instructed them about the immortal man and his light. Then Sophia stretched out her finger and poured upon him some light from her light, to be a condemnation of his father."
I believe that Sabaoth in these texts is a parallel to Asmoday. This suggests that Asmoday "switched sides" after witnessing the abyss sibling's divine/otherworldly power and realized the arrogance of the Heavenly Principles.
The last thing I wanted to discuss was the Primordial Human myth that Istoria told us about in the 6.5 WQ:
>"It tells of a god of light who created a body in its own likeness, only for it to be stolen away by the king of darkness. Thus, within that single body, the powers of light and darkness began to contend with one another. And so the primordial human, bearing both, came to possess both good and evil."
Istoria's words sound very similar to the Gnostic teaching of the Primordial Man, Adam. I'll just leave you with a summary of it below and let you see the parallels for yourself:
In Gnostic myth, the Monad revealed a reflection of the perfect, true Primordial Man in the waters of the upper spiritual realm. The Archons saw this beautiful reflection and envied it. They decided to create a physical man in the reflection's image so they could trap and rule over that divine likeness. But the Archons were flawed and material, so their creation lay on the ground for days, unable to move or stand. Seeing this, Sophia tricked the Demiurge to blow his own breath into the lifeless body. Unknown to him, his breath contained the divine power of light that he had stolen from Sophia. When he blew into the earthly Adam, this divine spark left the Demiurge and entered the flawed body. Because he now possessed true divine light, Adam instantly became wiser, more powerful, and holier than the Archons who created him. Terrified of his superiority, the Archons cast him down into the lowest depths of the material world and imprisoned his spirit in a flawed physical body of flesh to make him forget his divine origin.
i live in a relatively warm area and have used the vanicream daily moisturizer in my nighttime routine for years. however, i'm moving north to a much colder area soon and not sure if the vanicream will be enough, as it's a pretty thin and lightweight formula. any recommendations? my skin type is oily, sensitive and acne prone.
