I have been applying for AO roles for the past few months and have passed sifts 6 times so far. I have been on two reserve lists and am still awaiting interview results. All roles have been within MoJ/ HMPPS. Yesterday I got an email about being offered a position through my reserve list for an AA position in the business hub of a local prison. I really am looking for a career change but would be taking a significant pay cut to enter CS. I am worried about progression and if it is the right step to accept the AA position instead of AO.
