My “fraternal” ME262’s are finally complete,

A few people asked for finished pics after my earlier Me262 night fighter post, so here’s the completed pair.

Both are 1/48 Me 262 variants from Hobbyboss, great kits !!!

Me 262 B-1a/U1 “Red 12” night fighter

Me 262 A-2a/U2 bomber variant “V555” with the glazed bombardier nose

Still learning with every build, especially canopies and fine paint control, but happy with how the twins turned out overall.

I highly recommend the Hobbyboss kit for this model, a lot of fun to make, one thing though, the metal weight up front just barely balances it on the undercarriage, might superglue some small lead balls later

Loving the HB ME262 kits, turning out well, just a few days to go , I’ve improvised the Red 12 paint scheme but close enough to some of the historic pics , not Plasmo level but a step forward for me

My favourite plane, I’ve built a few 262’s but never any extended variants, making slow but good progress, quick question, anyone recommend a brand for sourcing appropriate pilots ?
