Grumman F6F Hellcat in bottle 1:350
I want to share one of my old, but in my opinion beautiful works, that was gifted many years ago, so only such photos.

I designed it in Sketchup, inkscape, and gimp, I then made a printable PDFTemplate, and built it!!! stoked with how it came out, definitely a challenge but it looks so good in real life.
Great looking fake paper panzer. Will be used in a small diorama.
I made it mb 6 years ago and had never posted, just gifted it and the recipient shared these photos with me, i want to save them at least somewhere :)
Hi! Im OGBonzo! Also @amb_armourworks on insta, thought id share some of my work with you all, feel free to have a look at my absolutely average modelling skills 😁
Hey all heres progress on one of the Phantoms im building
Lots and lots of work here and lots still to go
The 1/48 Meng kit is excellent, as good or maybe better than Academy. The Zoukei kit has a bit more detail but Meng beats it on construction
Finished in my usual style of GSI Creos lacquers over Alclad metals
The rear stabilizers metals are a work in progress i cant seem to get those right yet
Also working on:
P-38G, F-8J, F-4C
Later
I mainly only use tamiya acrylic paints for ijn aircraft because of the accuracy of the grey green color, but I wanted to achieve this lighter green fading on the aircraft, how would I go about achieving this on a rufe without using chipping fluid, (using tamiya JN green) and how would I recreate the chips on the bottom float of a rufe without using chipping fluid ( I hate working with it)
So, this marked a few firsts for me: First 1/350 battleship, first time creating raised panel lines and first time with a full photo etch espansion set (from eduard). It took nearly 4 month of work but despite a few suffering moment with PE i'm quite happy with the final result, i didn't used advanced tecniques cause i wanted to play it safe
First project of 2026, built during a Spitfire double build.
Kit is the Eduard 1/48 , the sEcond Eduard Spit I've built and there is nothing I cant'add about it that hasn't already been written: the kit is wonderful, maybe just a little over engineered.
This aircraft belonged to the 20th group of the 51st Stormo of the Regia Aeronautica (you can see their famous black cat logo on the tail), one of the really few units flying the Spitfire alongside the allies in the Italian Cobelligerant air force after the italian armistice. The MkV received by the italian army were heavily used planes, refurbished after their long use in the jugoslav air force. They had been repainted from the british maintenance unit just before being delivered to italian air force, and many of them received additional painting from the italian ground units, so there have been a long and inconclusive debate about their liveries. A color video from the imperial war museum of London shows them in early 1945 in the standard grey/green camo,, while most books about them (like ''Spitfire italiani'' by Alegi) and some pictures of mid 1944 suggest that they were delivered in a tropical scheme. I went with the latter choice, expecially after seeing the only 2 b/w existent pictures of ''20-1'', the plane I've built.
I've used the nice decal sheet from 'Exotic decals' for the Spitfires in italian service, and added the pilot and dog figures painted by a talented friend of mine.
All airbrushed with vallejo model air, weathering done with vallejo pigments, artist pencils and abteilung oil.
Thanks for watching, and critics are really welcome!
Overall a very affordable and detailed kit. The metal railings became very flimsy, I wish I had something to insert the pieces into. The rear rudders are very fragile. As a beginner (this is my second model), I felt this offered an easy assembly.
I made the water out of foam, glue and tinfoil. Looking back, I wish I carved deeper for the u boat to rest well in the foam, but I still think the overall look is convincing.
Starting the 1/72 ranger from interstellar and I’ve been having a hard time finding figures with similar EVA suits to the movie costumes. Really, the only ones I can find are from lunar lander models but the EVA suits from those missions are really bulk compared to the costumes.
Howdy! Adding some in progress pics of my newest work. I wanted to do my first riveting job on a model and chose the Tamiya P-47 as Magic Carpet. The aircraft had a very interesting history with many replacements done to it, including the wings which were left in their original BMF.
I'm not 100% happy with the riveting job, but hey it's a first for me and looks good enough. Using an original Rosie the Riveter 0.75mm wheel.
I also wanted to try something new with the BMF to give it a more "natural look". I painted the wings with GX2. Then masked the outlines of individual panels and gently sanded them with 3k grit sandpaper to give a faint aluminum "brushed" look seen in real life. I then painted the wings with super metallics, used a template to airbrush flat aluminum in a very random and erratic pattern, then airbrushed another layer of super metallics to tone down and vary the reflectivity, and did a bit more sanding on top of the paint before sealing it and adding a wash (not pictured here, yet).
I think it's a convincing look, but tedious when it comes to masking every panel but it looks miles better than just scratching without any direction as the point was making every panel get its own brushed pattern.
Of course, it doesn't show up as well in photos as it does to the naked eye.
Feedback appreciated!
So..
This is the New Tooled Red Pill Models 1/32 F-4 Phantom II
1:32 scale plastic model kit
It does have fantastic-looking decal sheets and masking set
It does have fantastic-looking decal sheets and masking set, plus the metal undercarriage is a nice addition! Especially if its a heavy bird/
But no photo etch or 3D printed parts.. its mostly plastic
Rumour is this kit will retail around £340 €360 $450* in model shops
*Delete as appropriate
But the Question is......
Is that just too much for a 1/32 scale model kit..? I think that is outrageous.
I started this about 8 months ago. After building it I lost interest, to me wasn't an interesting build nor much to look at and I certainly underestimated how small a "light" tank.
Finally got around to painting and sod's law, made a big error by not masking up the lines between the stencils but by that stage I had forgotten the paint mix of the base coat so dare not "repair" it.
Sticking to large tanks going forward 😂 that said, it does leave a lot more building space on the shelves!
