The One Distraction I Need to Overcome! Help Me..
The Problem
My distraction during JEE preparation isn’t my phone, social media, games, or anything like that.
It’s people.
It’s my family. It’s my friends.
It’s knowing that my family is getting together while I’m sitting at my desk studying. It’s seeing my friends going out, hanging out, making plans, and creating memories while I’m choosing to stay back because I have another chapter to finish, another test to prepare for, or another set of questions to solve.
The real problem is the FOMO
I keep thinking, “What if I just go for a while?”
“What if I miss something?”
“Everyone is together except me.”
And once that thought gets into my head, studying becomes difficult. Even when I’m sitting at my desk, my mind is somewhere else — thinking about the gathering happening at home, the plans my friends are making, the conversations I’m missing, or the memories being made without me.
I know JEE requires sacrifices, but this is the sacrifice I find hardest to make.
Because I’m not choosing between studying and entertainment.
I’m choosing between studying and being around the people I care about.
And that’s what makes this distraction so difficult to overcome.
