Anyone else have really bad GI problems when you take the meds later than normal?

I have been on 50mg of Zoloft for almost a month now and I have a check in with my doctor tomorrow morning. I am to the point of possibly swapping to a different medication due to the frequency of GI upsets from the meds. For the first couple weeks it made sense and was mainly just some acid reflux I could deal with but then things tapered off and I was doing okay.

Unfortunately I have noticed on two separate occasions where I have taken my dose a couple hours later than usual, later in the day, or the next morning, I have HORRIBLE stomach pain and, kinda tmi, REALLY bad diarrhea accompanied by nausea. I know it’s not abnormal with Zoloft, but I’m wondering if this is a not sticking to a schedule issue that others have experienced or just a body not working well with the meds issue.

So far for general anxiety it has been like night and day, and I do really like the positive effects from the medication, however I also have emetophobia, a fear of vomiting (have been working with a therapist on it on top of the meds) and the GI issues are causing some stress that the meds can’t FULLY help. I am trying to figure out if it is worth it to stick it out or if I should just try another medication.

Any input on this is really appreciated!!
