Is waiting until marriage actually worth it? Stories from men who did?
Hey brothers,
I’m in my early 20’s and I’ve made the decision to remain a virgin until marriage. This is very important to me because of my Orthodox Christian faith. I want to save that part of myself for my future wife and build something sacred and meaningful.
At the same time, it’s hard. I’m horny a lot, I feel the loneliness, and society constantly tells me I should “test compatibility” and that waiting is naive or even harmful. Sometimes I wonder if I’m missing out or making a mistake.
I’d really love to hear from other men (especially Orthodox or Christian guys) who waited until marriage:
Was it worth it?
Did you ever regret it?
How did your first time go?
Any advice for a young guy trying to stay strong in this area?
Even if you didn’t wait but have thoughts on it, I’d appreciate honest perspectives. This decision feels heavy sometimes and hearing real stories would mean a lot.
Feel free to message me if you wanna share something that you would rather not post publicly.
Thanks in advance and God bless.
