485 denial and 290b filed, how about EAD card

485 filed in November 2022. RFE received in December 2025. June 2026 received 485 denial due to missed 693 medical examination. June 2026 filed 290B with updated 693 medical examination.

I have EAD card linked to 485. Due to 485 denial, the EAD card is revoked. I stopped working but not sure how to deal with the EAD card. The 485 denial notice said that the EAD card needs to be returned to local office. I checked with my attorney and he said that it was fine to keep it, as long as I don’t illegally work. If the 290b is approved and 485 can be reopened, the EAD card can be used again. I’m not sure what to do now. Any prior experience and advice will be super helpful. Thank you!

I got a RFE at Dec 2025 asking for evidence to show legal status while waiting for 485 approval. However, I missed the part where it asks for 693 medical examination. I thought 693 was submitted before but apparently it expires. Can I file 290b motion to reopen together with a 683 form ? Do I have a chance to get approved? It’s so stupid 😭
