Need a lightweight way to rotate my laptop camera 90 degrees permanently (without manual OBS)
Hi everyone,
I'm having a technical issue with my Lenovo Legion 5 Pro (82JQ) running Windows 11 (specs in image_9fc701.png).
Due to my desk space, I use my laptop in a vertical orientation. As a result, the integrated webcam output is rotated 90 degrees in every application.
The Problem: I've checked Windows Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Cameras, but my specific camera driver does not have the "Video Rotation" toggle available. I need this to work globally so that my camera appears upright in all services without having to manually configure a virtual camera software every time I boot up.
What I've tried:
- Checking Lenovo Vantage for camera orientation settings (none found).
- Updating to the latest drivers from Lenovo's support site.
What I need help with:
- Is there a specific Registry (regedit) key for Lenovo/Realtek cameras that can force a 90-degree rotation at the driver level?
- Are there any official Lenovo utility tools or specific driver versions for the 82JQ model that unlock the rotation feature in Windows 11 settings?
I'm looking for a permanent system-level fix so the orientation is correct from the moment Windows starts.
Thanks for any technical guidance!
