Do I (27F) need to tell my boyfriend (29M) about an innocent message on instagram from someone I dated in the past ?
I have dated J (29M) for like a few weeks and a couple of dates 2 years ago. We have a mutual friend that’s why it’s awkward to unfollow him on instagram (we also work in the same industry but I don’t want to burn any bridges). I slowly ghosted him after a few dates cause I felt like he was a bit of a manchild and does not have his life together. I have been together with my current boyfriend for a year and a half now and we are in a happy healthy relationship.
Last night I took a picture of my dinner and posted it to my story, J replied to it asking what it is. I felt like he was trying to start a conversation. I have not replied to him cause I felt weird texting someone I dated without telling my boyfriend, but at the same time it is such an innocent message and I don’t know if I should even bring it up. I feel weird either way.
