[Thank you] for Wednesday's postcards
u/LLCoolJthe17th, thank you for the starry night card. Did I tell you I'm nocturnal? It's beautiful!
u/aworden321, thank you for the upcycled fruit smiles card. I've never seen those before! Maybe a Denver thing. I used to live in Denver when I was a little kid. I'm sure the air is cleaner now.
u/birdiebennett, thank you for the cat card! I used to have cats but now I'm a traitorous dog person. I still like to look at cats because of memories, and they're so photogenic.
[Thank you] for today's mail
u/IAmDoughana, thank you for the thank you card. If you feel exhilarated at takeoffs and landings and are ready to fly next month, you got this thing down, baby. Now go and discover the world! P.S. Thank you for the Flying Ace sticker <--that's you!
u/laura_eva, thank you for the 4th of July cupcake. What I would love to do is drive down to SC for bottle rockets and roman candles. What I will be doing as I have for the last 15 years, is staying home and comforting a dog. Dogs and fireworks do not mix. Oh, my dessert! Bomb pops, for sure.
u/Radiant-Spot-4389, thank you for the second swap, with the mountain scene. You are precious, too. I hope the weeding went easy enough.
u/swaghettiswag, thank you for the solar system postcard, which modernly does not include Pluto (poor thing). I love the collage on the back with the Cup O'Noodles and the hungry heart. My go-to snack is Noosa yogurt, either vanilla bean or lemon.
u/withininus, thank you for the Pittsburgh postcard. I'm glad you're having such a good time there, with a friend who also appreciates snail mail. Let me know how the paper making turns out.
Stamp math—winging it
Sometimes I like to see where the next stamp takes me.
[Thank you] for Monday's cards
u/cloudycat4, thank you for the card from Alanya. Your vivid description makes me feel like I was there at the fruit market under the sunshine. Sounds lovely!
u/Gatsbygalaktoboureko, thank you for the "love is love" postcard. It's something I've believed since the 1980s and still of course do.
u/GinnyF20, thank you for the lovely tree and the cardinal pup. lol. But who am I to say anything, when I've never picked up a brush? Nice start, you'll for sure get better and I really appreciate you testing your artwork on me.
Mystery writer, thanks for the storybook-style cats' picnic postcard. I love it! I'm the cat with the wine. https://imgur.com/a/eHFARpA Thanks also for the antics of Tom and Jerry. They sound like a fun duo!
u/no-zebra-9339, thanks for the LEON card with all the reindeer treats. I unfortunately did not take a LEON break but it sounds like you had a good time. Ho ho ho.
u/snootsbooper, thank you for the "made of fire" card. I like to think we cannot burn because I have this fear of waking up in 1700 and being torched for being different.
u/unicorn_potatoes, these are exactly the kind of juicy personal sagas I like to read. What I get out of this is: you're attractive, maybe more so than when you were younger. It happens! Now you need to work on boundaries (maybe?)
Some odd choices 🇺🇸 --> 🇩🇪 & 🇹🇼
One asked for spiders; the other asked for vintage or black & white.
[Thank you] for late-week mail
u/A_LanguageEnthusiast, thanks for the card of the woman reading. So no semicolon in your writing. Team semicolon is losing 2 to 1. But the tattoo version makes sense. Maybe I should get one! I've certainly earned it.
u/Classic-Power-333, thanks for the America 250th card and the iconic American stickers. When I was in my early to mid twenties I used to take a lot of road trips. They contributed to me seeing, at least briefly, 48 out of 50 states. (Missing CA & HI) My favorite state for driving was Iowa in the summer, especially on US6.I hope you do get out there on road, train or plane. It's worth it!
u/credo99, Thanks for the Ogunquit postcard. It sounds like you had great time. Is the Atlantic too cold for swimming there? At least you had a pool (which are sometimes nicer anyway) I can't be sure but I may have eaten lunch
in Ogunquit once while driving up to Maine fron N.H.
u/Kooky-Guarantee-4521,Thank you for the Jane Goodwall Institute card with Kudia the Chimpanzee, content in her sanctuary. The giraffe postcard you made is attractive and sturdy. It's a winner!
u/melhen16, thank you for the ROAC Meta Challenge, never gonna find someone to send this to. Well, I may be as good as anyone, because I like jokey cards! Thank you also for the stickers and the exquisite stamps. Good for you, working those 4 big 8-cent stamps in. I have trouble with 1.
u/mouserat, thank you for the owl postcard and the stamps on it. The "adopt a shelter pet" series is among my favorites. I appreciate your 4th grade memory of a making a voting poster. My equivalent would be making a Colorado poster with state flag, bird, flower, etc. I used to love to draw too! But I stopped after high school and any talent I had deteriorated.
u/nice-photograph-7055 (? Might need some help with this username? ) Thank you for the Les Mis card. I may be the only one left at my age who hasn't seen it, but that's okay, I like the graphic. Thank you for your warm wishes. I wish the same for you.
u/rare_cranberry_7861, thank you for the card, covered in fruit, and more important, thank you for the handout on radical acceptance. I'm the type to rail against my fate, which never makes anything better. I will definitely do some research on the concepts 👍
u/sension5705, thank you for the beautiful envelope, the not-so-idyllic night card, and the facinating packet on solving crime by observation. I want to read all these books but I spend all my money on postcards. Maybe I can find one at thriftbooks. I loved the story of Billy the Kid and want to read more like it.
u/Turnerd10, thank you for the 4th of July/250th anniversary card. And also for the black insect stickers. I love them!
I have sent 100 cards
And I just got bumped up to 11 slots!
Today's incoming
I have wrestled with the larger stamps but one sender goes bold.

[Thank you] u/mediocre_radish_7216
Thank you for Percy, the chicken-befriending, cat-tolerating dog. I think I love Percy, too.
Long live the semicolon!
[Thank you] for Monday's mail
u/aepeyc, thank you for the patriotic card with the eagle and the flag. Cool that you actually saw an eagle. Your plans for the 4th sound great. Have fun!
u/melhen16, thank you for the homemade "smile" card with all the facts related to Independence Day, none of which I knew. 150 million hot dogs on the 4th? I had no clue. Love the stamps by the way, even the spider.
u/merfrog, thank you for the cow in a field of sunflowers telling me that I make sense. It's soothing to look at and very cute. Thanks for listing some affirming lyrics. And happy Pride Month back to you!
u/oceanfrenn, thanks for Pluto with the black cat. It's a very classic and classy cartoon. I'm not doing well with my sleep resolution either. Sometimes the only thing that will chase me to bed is daybreak. I just like the dark, the still, the quiet, of 3 a.m. I wish you luck with uni!
u/thecuriouscur, thanks for the dude getting eaten by a shark who has the idiocy to stay positive 👍. That made me laugh. I'm going to write you tomorrow.
I made a Smithsonian offer
"For the increase and diffusion of knowledge [among men]." The bracketed part is no longer in use.
Anyone in the Northern Hemisphere Feeling Hot? 🇺🇸 --> 🇩🇪
[Thank you] for the Saturday mail
u/andyismean, Thank you for the postcard of Chapultepec Castle in Mexico City. The architecture is really interesting. I would love to see Mexico City in all its diversity as well as the the other areas you mentioned, Oaxaca and Puebla. My brother, word traveler, highly recommends Mexico City. If only I could go all the places I want to go!
u/inkyfingerspgs, Thanks for the sun shining over the Golden Gate Bridge; it's lovely. I'm glad you're in camp semicolon because so many people aren't these days. I read an article in the Washington Post a while back debating the use of this punctuation. Many people described it as ugly and antiquated but fortunately there were people on our side, too. It's cool that you taught English for many years! (Me=English major.)
u/katier12, The postmark was upside down on your username; I hope I got it right. Thanks for the Park-O-Tell postcard. It's sad but a lot of these unique hotels have been demolished, not just here but around the U.S. I guess land values are too high to maintain them, especially in big cities. Plus people want to sleep in chain hotels. Thanks for the donut sticker! It's rattling my appetite.
u/sension5705, Thanks for giving me the opportunity to participate in your traveling card. I had never done one before and it was well worth it. I'm especially glad you got the card back intact, and with some bonuses, I hear. Look at my bonus stamps too! You got some of my favorites, like the Smithsonian and the New York World's Fair. I really appreciate the global postcrossing stamp. The only ones I have are with maxicards, which I hesitate to use just yet. Thank you also for the flower forevers. I feel like it's Christmas!
u/tyedyeamish, Thank you for the postcard of the United Nations peace bell, a gift from Japan to New York. That's cool that you can see a similar structure 2 miles from your house. I wonder how many peace bells have been replicated. Anyway, it's quite attractive, so why wouldn't you want one in your yard?
[Thank you] u/AlainDit
u/AlainDit, thank you for the Bourg en Bresse postcard. It is very funny that they repeated one picture🤣. Nothing else to say, eh? It must have been amazing to be in Réunion, seeing the whales and the volcano. But then to me, France is incredibly exotic. You're lucky to be a European. I wish you a happy day, too. I'm sorry my card will be late but it will come!
