I have had HSV-2 for 1.8 years. Without suppressive therapy, I always have outbreaks after sex or menstruation. My symptoms are mild, but they make me feel very sad. I’m afraid this will last forever, especially since I’ve already been living with the infection for almost two years. Fortunately, I don’t have any outbreaks while I’m on suppressive therapy, but I hope I won’t have to take it for the rest of my life. Do you think the symptoms will become less?
