Stumped by this conifer cone
I'm an arborist working in Portland OR. Came across a fascinating conifer in someone's yard that I've never seen before or since. My twig/needle samples didn't survive but if I remember correctly the needles were flat, kind of along the lines of a Western Hemlock but without the variable lengths and notably longer than hemlock, and with a small gap between individual needles rather than being tightly bunched. I figured I ought to be able to ID this thing with the cones alone, as they seem pretty distinctive, but I can’t find it in a conifer reference anywhere and AI tools keep calling it Douglas fir, which it clearly was not. The tree itself was rather exotic looking, almost certainly not a Pacific Northwest native. It was cool enough that I'd love to have one in my yard... if only I could figure out what the heck it is!
Edit: The length and width of this cone are both approximately 1.5 in/3.8 cm.
