Ortlieb Back Roller Classic - which rail does it clip to?

On an HSD -

Simple question - does the pannier clip to the rail underneath the clubhouse seat (unlikely I would imagine due to the Clubhouse surround getting in the way)
… or the lower rail below the top one?

I presume these bags are suitable if using the clubhouse on the lower rail?

Is that second rail 16mm?

I’ve had a look for photos online to confirm but haven’t found confirmation.

With the sidekick wheel guards - are there any issues with the bags bouncing around without being able to use the lower clip on the bag?

Litelok X1 - mounting to HSD

Thought I’d share where I mount my Litelok X1. Using Litelok’s own wrapstraps but I would imagine any type of strap would work.

Lock hardly moves and sits well under the rails of my clubhouse mini on my HSD S8i.

Anyone else tried this?

Soft Crate Mini… and Seat Pad and Back Pad

Hi all

I’m looking at the Soft Crate Mini for the Clubhouse Mini.

Will the Soft Crate Mini fit when the Seat and Back Pad are fixed? Idealy I don’t want to have to take off the seat pad and back pad - I know they are on via Velcro but still as they will have to be stored / transported.

What is the soft crate mini’s base like? Is it rigid or soft?

Is it quick to install too (there’s not much online / YouTube)?

In the meantime I have this car boot / trunk organiser in small size and it fits the width of the clubhouse mini perfectly.

It’s actually a few cm too wide for the clubhouse mini according to the specs but due to the soft sides it squeezes in and keeps it relatively tight. Bonus that it has a lid - not waterproof at all but still useful.

As the organiser is a rectangle compared to the square of the clubhouse mini, there are some gaps around the front / back of the organiser (as you look at the bike) - I might use the organiser on the hauler rack though if the soft crate mini fits over the seat pad.

HSD Cache Box - real weight limit

Hi all

I’m looking at the HSD Cache Box and it says there’s a 2kg weight limit for the contents.

How realistic is this max limit? I am thinking of getting a chain lock around 2.5kg to 3kg in weight and wanted to store it in there.

Will the Cache box hold up to say 3kg or am I being unrealistic?
