reddit.comMVTA Arboc Spirit of Mobility
These are currently being used on MVTA connect. These models used to run on routes 497 and 499 within Shakopee before being replaced by classic transit buses.
These are a fully low floor Minibus, they have a ramp unlike a classic Mini Bus which uses a wheelchair lift because they are usually High floor.
The 2026 Gillig Low Flow Plus' are officially in service
The biggest difference compared to last years buses are the new wide back doors, which are different than the ones found on the brt plus.
The 1900s have been skipped over and we have gone straight to the 2000s series of buses.
D60LFR on the 515
From what I heard from a supervisor they are out of 40-footers at South garage (?) so they put an artic on here. This is a once in a lifetime experience.
Alternative ways to/from Msp Airport during the Blue Line shutdown
Since the blue line is currently undergoing a 7-week-long closure getting to and from MSP airport airport is going to be a little bit more confusing. I will list some alternative ways to get to your destination.
This will hopefully help some of you out if you want to get to the airport fast.
Route 54/345: both of these routes go from Terminal 1 all the way down to Mall of America and shares all stops (besides Terminal 2) with the blue line replacement bus and will be a faster way. (Route 54 goes to downtown St Paul/ Maplewood Mall, route 345 goes to Woodbury via West St Paul. [Route 345 is hourly])
MVTA 495/4FUN: this route will take you directly to Mall of America as the next stop from Terminal 1, it also goes all the way to Shakopee via Eagan, Savage, and Burnsville. (This route is hourly)
MVTA 436: This route will take you directly to 46th Street Station on the Blue/A lines from Terminal 1, this also goes all the way to Eagan transit station via Viking Lakes. (This route is hourly, half hourly during the evening Rush)
SWT 686: This route will take you from both airport terminals all the way to Mall of America and Eden Prairie. This route has two variants, if you want to get further into Bloomington along American boulevard you can take Route 686L (Local Variant), or if you want to get to Eden Prairie after the mall you will have route 686X (Express variant).
All of the routes besides the 686X are $2 (same cost as the blue line).
Route 686X costs $2.50 during off peak times and $3.25 during rush hours (Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and from 3:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.)
Hopefully this helps you in your journey to get to or from MSP Airport.
Old style MT bus stop in Shakopee
This sign is likely from the 80s, Metro Transit has not run any routes within the current MVTA territory since the 80s.
Edit: this sign is actually a relic from the 2000s that is still up.
Broken Interior Display Cover on the Orange Line
I know it's a minor thing. But It's Still Interesting
2017 gillig low floors 1790-1799 have transfered to Transdev
These buses are different from the 1600 series buses they currently have.
The 1790s have frameless windows that don't open, the 1600s have regular windows that can open.

These buses used to be dispatched out of Nicollet and Heywood garages.
BEV Bus on route 54(M)
These usually run on routes 3, 62, 63, 64, 68, 71, and 74. It's a super quiet bus, it "farts" multiple times when the parking brake is disengaged.
D60LFR appreciation post
I just love the LFRs. Especially the ones with the high back cloth seats, they're extremely comfy. I'm glad to see them running in revenue Service more often again.

I wish the Xcelsiors had these seats on them instead of the regular Transit seats.
GILLIG BRT PLUS #8009 on route 54
It's a free ride since there is not a fare box on board.
This is exactly like what happened with the 515 a couple months ago.

Eden Prairie City Center Station
The station is fully complete and for some reason has it's NexTrip displays on.
The station is really nice it actually has a lot of businesses around it.
Gillig brt on the B line a couple days ago
This is worse than running a regular Xcelsior.
I did not get on this bus. I am assuming it became full after it left downtown.
Why do you have the longest vehicle and shortest vehicle you operate on the same line.
Transdev, what the fuck.
Why is there a 40 ft bus and a 25-ft cut-away both on the 540. The 40 ft is unnecessary, the cut-away it's just weird to be running at night.
I hate Transdev.
MVTA has installed new screens on This bus
I don't know when this happened but it's really nice.
Something is wrong
It's me again THE transdev hater. And I'm back with some stupid bs that Transdev has done.
January 1st 2000 is definitely the correct date.
