People with emotional intelligence notice the small changes nobody talks about.
I notice people’s emotions way faster now and it’s honestly hard to ignore once you start seeing it. Like when someone suddenly types shorter replies even though they swear nothing’s wrong. Or when a friend who usually talks nonstop goes weirdly quiet for days. Even tiny stuff like fake laughing a little too hard or avoiding eye contact for one second longer says a lot.
What gets me is how most people pretend these changes mean nothing. Meanwhile the emotionally aware ones are sitting there picking up every shift in energy and tone like it’s impossible not to. Sometimes I wish I could turn that part of my brain off because it makes relationships feel deeper but also more exhausting.
Anyone else catch small emotional changes instantly even when nobody says a word?
