Tricare prime vs. select vs. USFP

We were recently relocated to NYC (live in NJ). I enrolled in tricare prime off the bat last month and now I’m considering tricare select instead. Has anyone lived around here and been in a similar situation?

I am mostly curious about how tricare select shows up when it comes to hospital stays / surgeries / labor and delivery / anything when it comes to fertility treatment. We will be TTC next year.

Before I met my husband I was on my own insurance and was used to paying large amounts of copays for simple appointments. I’m fine if a doctors appt is 20-30$ here and there if it means I can have more of a choice?
