Lian Li Accessing location when WiFi enabled

https://preview.redd.it/zuppju2fy1ih1.png?width=1912&format=png&auto=webp&s=6f973eb11670d2c5acd307f4531ce8e05bf310b7

Since I normally use Ethernet, I normally keep my WiFi disabled, but as soon as I enabled WiFi while I was doing Local LLM testing (I'm a big software nerd), I got a notification via AppControl saying that three services from Lian Li accessed my location.

My question is why?
I don't think a software that changes fan speeds and RGB lighting needs to access my location (specifically when WiFi is enabled).
Unless they're doing things that they want to be kept hidden, I really don't see a reason for this needing to happen

My build

Case: Phanteks Evolv x2

Motherboard: Asus Formula z690 (with a CPU mount mod)

CPU: i7 12700k at 5ghz

Ram: Corsair Dominator 32gb 5600mhz

GPU: Gigabyte RTX 5070ti 3ghz OC

AIO:iCUE h150i 360

PSU: Asus ROG Strix 850W White Edition

Fans: Lian Li Uni Wireless

Drives: 1X 2TB Kingston m.2, 1x 1TB Saberent Rocket, 1TB SSHD Seagate FireCuda

I"m a software development student and I do local LLMs, my memory is already being maxed out so I'll probably get 96 or 128gb for my next build with two 90 tier GPUs for the vram and extra things I'll be doing in my career, but I mainly need a oled ultrawide right now.

Lian Li, bring back the Lian Li V3000 Plus, and my life is YOURS!

I bought the M5s instead of the XM6s

This is my first product from Sennheiser and I overall didn't knew anything about the company before this, but due to the constant glaze on the internet, I bought them despite my main need for wireless headphones were ANC.

After I bought them and set them up with my favorite EQ and everything, I liked them but I wasn't as impressed as I thought I'd be, in fact, I kind of got the feeling that these were heavily overhyped at the time. This was mainly because I knew the ANC wasn't going to be that good but it was more underwhelming than I originally thought, I was hoping for the ANC to be at least near the level of my old XM5 headphones but even the ANC within my Sonos Ace headphones were better.

This doesn't mean the ANC overall is bad, but it's not exactly what I expected either.
As for sound quality, it was good but not as good as people were making it out to be, I have the Dyson onTrac, Sonos Ace, and Sony XM5s, the Sonos is by far the most clear out of the three but has next to 0 base despite me having it to the max (I love my base) and I'd say they perform similarly but with worse base and better ANC (and possibly quality since it uses some aluminum for support, which I hope the next gen has)

On the second day of using these headphones, I really liked the battery, the only headphone that can beat these that I've used are the Dysons, that can last over a week easily. But I also experienced some issues, probably not supposed to, but I've been using these in bed sometimes as I watch Netflix, and the touch sometimes pauses the video at random or turn the ANC off, and also, whenever I bend down to pick things up, the ANC would also turn off and pause music as well, still don't know why this happened.

But as for the third day, which is currently, I got use to the headphones for the most part so far and most of what I think about them remains the same, but that was until my BTD 700 arrived, it honestly changed almost everything I thought about these things. The sound quality, range, and even base, suddenly became worth the hype everyone gave to them, and I suddenly didn't regret anything afterwards. The only thing that I wish were better, is the ANC, since I still do notice the difference between these and my older headphones, but besides that, I like these more than I did with any other headphone I've had, which is a surprise since I used these headphones in wired mode which I think is supposed to be Lossless, it still doesn't sound as good as these.

Just a note, I just got the dongle today so things can change, but I really like it so far

I always wished these companies had a dongle since it would be better for gaming but also range, I never knew it would make the audio quality this night and day however.

If I had to rate these headphones, I would give them a 9.5 out of 10, I just wish the ANC was at least at the level of the Sonos Ace, or better yet, the XM5s due to the price range, but if you don't plan to be taking these to classes like I do, then you can ignore that part, that pausing video bug was weird however, but I think it'll get fixed soon.

Sennheiser Momentum 5 vs XM6

Hey, im new to this sub and the 5s has caught my eyes

I've been using a lot of wireless headphones for a while, from brands like Sony, Sonos, and even Dyson

I have a feeling that these will have superior sound quality out of all of them, but my priority is ANC.

I know the XM6s are better but im trying to get an idea on how much better

Im buying these before heading off to college this September so I have time to wait, but my main question is, is the ANC on here better or at least similar to even the XM5s? Let alone the XM6s?

I have the XM5s with me (broken, ofc) and im noticing how good the ANC is for blocking out voices in particular, which i really like, i only planned to go Sony because their ANC for this seemed to have improved.

Oh, and already existing users, how do you like yours?

I do gaming but mainly listen to music and watch videos, so sound quality and batter life matters a lot for me.

And how is the bass? My main complaint about the Sonos Ace is the bass being hardly noticeable.

Thank you.

Lian Li V3000+

I learned about this case recently and I really love everything about it, but it's sadly not on sale anymore and people are charging 1k for it depending on where you look

Is there a reason why it's not sold anymore?
It seems like a lot of people liked it

Heard that there's a possible new one coming out but it won't be the same one

Allbirds, the shoe company (yes, that shoe company) stock price has returned pre AI announcement.

Hey, I just upgraded from a 2070 super to a 5070ti for gaming and other productivity, but I'm also interested in learning about local AI models

Im not sure how this will work so I will need some resources on how to set this up

But I'm mainly wondering if a 5070ti is enough, not for anything big, just enough to learn a thing or to, since I'm still not sure what I want to turn this into yet

I also have other questions like is needing a separate PC for this needed?

Since I usually see that with other people

And does CPU matter that much?

I have a i7 12700k at 5ghz if that counts
