I'm getting the "new" bose qc for around 50 to 60 bucks more than the sennies. I listen to mostly 80s and 90s soft rock/rock or otherwise stuff like Floyd.
I was thinking about the momentum 4s as well but they are 100 bucks more than the accentum plus where I'm from.
Next 3 weeks I'll be travelling a ton internationally and then I'll be starting my college, so mostly will be listening in the dorm or libraries. I rn use a pair of 50 dollar jbl's which arent bad but are falling apart.
I recently bought IE300 and never had any good wired earphones. While the sound quality is good, i have faced few concerns regarding the ear tips. Out of the box ear tips are of two types, I.e. foam and rubbery one. While foam ones are not that comfortable and not isolating outside sound completely, rubbery ones are comfortable but create too much bass that it deteriorates the song overall.
Would suggest forum’s advice on this issue. Should I get some third party ear tips or how to optimally use out of the box ear tips available.
Would I be okay using the same pair I use for gaming to bring to the gym? For weight lifting/cardio
Edit: SOLVED
I just want a way to not pay out the rear for shipping from the UK to the US and such just to order a driver for self repair purposes from the only seller I can find so far that sells it officially. The packaging I got it in in the photo above at least shows that it is possible that it can be sold alone. Trying to fix up some broken pairs of HD 6XX headphones (which are incredibly easy to repair idk how y'all live with that but not stock the most important part that can break yet still be easy to replace like everything else) for my personal collection to keep more out of the landfill and also not pay a ton just to send it to a tech do it for me and send it back, when I can do it without much down time with the same result because it is just that easy and can be done carefully.
As someone with Navy electronics repair training, this is a cake walk, many people on YouTube have shown it is a cake walk for the various HD 6X0 models, and I'm just going to call it out and say that the process of getting these fix doesn't need all that for all that you are charging. I've already accepted that when I buy these broken, used headphones, I am not getting a warranty for them anyways. Not every owner is infantilized with money to the point that they'd insist on sending in their headphones to repair for what it costs. There are people that can learn unofficially to repair and diagnose issues on the things that they own. Just let myself and others buy all the parts. Drivers included as well as those plastic headband clips that hold the yoke arms and headband cushions in. I
So recently picked up the momentum 4s new on sale around $270 from Best Buy. I know the fives are almost here. But those are gonna be $500. And I was looking for headphones with a max budget of $300. Whoever owns the momentum fours how are you liking it? I’ve heard the sound quality is really great and the noise cancellation is decent. I was coming from the Sony XM four’s. I was not looking to upgrade to the more expensive XM five and XM six because of price. I was looking to get away from the Sony XM four. I’ve heard very good reviews when it comes to this headphone which I have found to be a better pick than some of the cheaper models from the other brands.
So I got these yesterday from Amazon in graphite but they sent me the black one. So that's already a reason to return them but I'm not complicated.
However when I connect them to my Zfold and go past 100%. It's too much distortion and cuts:
Frankly unbearable. Has anyone else went through such a thing?? I own a bunch of other earbuds for all the major brands so I know for a fact that this not normal
This is first time buying any Sennheiser earbuds. I used to have the HD440 5 years ago and liked them very much.
I love how they fit me since I dont even need the fangs but that's always cool to have.
Anyway Amazon accepted to send me replacement tomorrow for my trouble. Will report back...
I really hope I get to keep these instead of getting the powerbeats pro 2..
That’s it. That’s the post. Love you Sennheiser.
I got the M4s for 3 months now and I am in love with the sound clarity and accuracy they give.
I have changed the equaliser to the best of my liking and understanding.
But sometimes I just miss the "fullness" some other brands give. It's hard to explain and I don't think it's only the bass that's missing, but on the other hand more powerful bass is the only big difference I know that other brand have more of.
Is there something I can change to get this feeling of "full" sound back while keeping the amazing clarity of the M4s?
Some specific equaliser change or other settings that I could change?
I mostly listen on my PC with Lossless Spotify and USB-C or aptX. I am not audiophile enough that I hear a difference there.
When I switch to my Iphone I do notice the lesser audioquality tho with just AAC.
Just got my HD660S2 yesterday! I'm running them through an Atom 2 connected to a scarlett solo (not the best setup but it gets the job done). I'm loving the sound so far blows anything else I've owned out the water, the headphone is very light and comfortable which is what I wanted for those longer weekend sessions.
The only thing that bothers me a little is that the cable provided is too short. I do not mind upgrading to a longer cable, but wanted to get yall's opinion on what brand/features i should be looking at. Would be a shame if i ended up getting a cable that bottlenecks the great sound this headphone offers. Also how do yall take care of open back headphones? Looks to me like the inside could get very dirty very quick through the grill on the sides. Should I maybe keep them in the provided bag in a closed space as opposed to letting them hang out on headphone stands?
Any other tips yall got for someone inexperienced with open back headphones, for taking care if them, good hardware to upgrade to to drive them, and especially music recs to listen to with them are appreciated! So far I have been having a blast listening to basically every song by radiohead, animals/the wall by pink floyd, in the court of the crimson king, some rush, and opeth.
I bought the mtw4 in late march, and the right earbud has already died. I have never dropped them, nor have I done anything noteworthy that might damage them.
The issue is that whenever I move them around my ear, I hear this nasty metallic clicking sound, and when anc is turned on and they are adjusted, I hear this windy sound. The connection also cuts when moved, and with some more fiddling it comes back. When it's stationary in my ear, no problem, it only happens when moved. I first thought there might be some moisture in it or something like that which then caused the anc mic to go crazy, but I guess not because of the connection issues.
I sent out a message to sennheiser support, I'll have to see how they respond.
I got these a few days back and have been loving it ever since, zero issues until today. I was using em just a couple hours back, put it down on my bed, and now it just doesn't turn on anymore. Literally dead.
The battery was around 90%. Plugging in the charger does nothing, pressing and holding the power button does nothing, there are no lights or sound from the headphones.
Is there any other option besides an RMA? Amazon here doesn't even allow replacements, service center is the only way.
EDIT: after plugging in charger for 5 mins i just decided to wear the thing and wtf, it was playing the pairing mode sound effect. I had to unpair and pair the device from my phone. Battery is showing 10% (wtf??? I could swear it was 90% this evening and I didn't even use it since). I played some music but the sound was distorted. The LEDs and power button still dont respond. It is still charging and the right side of the headphone is getting unusually warm(?!)
EDIT2: still doesnt work even after "charging". no power button, no leds.
I’ve recently bought these IEMs and they sound really good, but I noticed some misalignment on the dx outer shell, as you can see in the photo, + the connector on that side seems slightly bent.
So I requested a replacement from Amazon, and while the new pair is definitely better, it’s still not perfect, same issue again on the right side (see second photo).
Can anyone tell me if this is a common thing with the IE200 / IE200 Silver, or if I should request another replacement?
So I try to snap the plastic part of the headband back to the metal part of it but it just doesn’t fit. I can only put one side of the plastic part back.
What can I do now to put both of them back
Here’s the situation: The left speaker on my Momentum 4 has stopped working, and I wanted to buy my girlfriend a pair of headphones as a present. She’s not an audiophile and mainly listens to post-punk (dark music in general), so I ordered the B&W Px8. I’m still listening to music through them, as the Momentum 4 is currently being repaired.
And now for the caveat – the Momentum 4 is the best you can find right now in terms of sound quality for the price, quality and technology. It’s been over two weeks now and it’s absolutely painful to listen to music through them – no drive, no emotion. Everything I listen to sounds artificial, especially the high frequencies; as for the vocals, they’re just awful. The only thing these headphones are good for is listening at low volume, where the flaws aren’t noticeable, but forget about any emotion – they’ll never give you what the Momentum 4 delivered. There’s a decent punch, sub-bass, mid-bass, and a sturdy build, as the hinges are made of aluminium. Well, that’s it—nothing else. Have you heard anything about the constant electronics issues with the Momentum 4? Forget it; the Px8 will show you on the very first day just how terrible they are in this regard – crackling, static, and a DAC that changes the sound however it pleases in real time. A week later, my DAC had a complete meltdown, which meant the headphones wouldn’t connect via Bluetooth and I couldn’t adjust the volume; the only thing that helped was resetting the headphones themselves.
Don’t like the touch controls on the Momentum 4? Haha, here the buttons work only half the time, lol.
Killer features? None.
Cherish your Momentum 4s; they’re the best you can listen to via Bluetooth right now, for that price.
Hey guys, so I have recieved the HD560s for my birthday yesterday and they sound extremely good to my ears (coming from sony xm5 and hyperX cloud 2), but I was wondering if Ishould get like some dongle or an amp to get the full experience from these headphones? Like for now i just plugged them into my mac and it was already amazing so I just wanted to make sure I was not missing out.
Thanks in advance
