New Lords-Winners and Losers

With the new lords starting positions being known.

Who's campaigns have become easier and who have become harder?

Outside of the new Lords, are there any campaigns you are itching to do now things have been shaken up a little?

Second Ascension Book 1: Kindle Issue

I just downloaded book 1 from Kindle unlimited and it's given me book 2 instead.

Has anybody else had this issue?

I've taken a screenshot. I can't seem to access book 1. I even tried downloading book 2 in case they had been swapped but nope.

Not sure how to raise this to amazon or the author and not sure if it's on my end of theirs.

Blade of The Blue Star- An Appeal

Can the author of this series please get an editor or just do another pass on the book.

It's got such an interesting premise but it's let down by terrible editing.

I can look past bad grammar, or typos. What I am really struggling to deal with is the way the author seems to forget what they've written.

A character introduced as a baron turns into an earl.

Other characters talking about events like they were there when they were not.

Odd repeated phrases that read like ai or back to back chapters going over the same thing ruining the pacing.

I just don't understand how an author can let this happen. If you care enough to write all these words, surely you care enough to do a final look to make sure it flows properly and consistently.

I've just started book 2 and I am so close to dropping it, despite being the exact target audience for this series.

Knights Apocalyptica Post Book 1 Thoughts

So I have just finished this book and I am sorting of left in a weird place.

On one hand it has knights in mech suits which I love and the writing is excellent from the action to the characters.

Where i am struggling is around the premise and the events that unfold.

I will try to avoid key spoilers here but my main issue or gripe. Is that the book sets up early this promise of an academy where knights learn and study but then almost immediately the characters are catapulted away from this via plot and they never really go back to it.

Couple that with a few other rather abrupt pulls (Colin being excellent at mysticism suddenly) felt rushed.

Overall I still think this is an excellent first book but I can't help but feel dissapointed as I finished it. It feels like I was given a good story but not the story I was promised.

I would be interested in hearing others thoughts and opinions on this.
