Heading to the beach alone. Risk of theft?

Hi hi going to Mallorca this Saturday and I was just wondering how do you guys minimise the risk of having your personal items stolen when you leave them outside before heading for the beach?
Thank you!

My personal quick note-taking app. Maybe someone else will appreciate it.

Hey all,

I build this website RedCrow in 2024 and have been using it extensively for note‑taking, especially when I’m watching, reading, or coming across interesting and technical information that I want to store with tags so I never lose it and can easily find it later for reference or further more structured note-taking in a different app.

The idea is simple: you post your notes in a Twitter/X‑like format with the ability to tag, add url/image, filter, and search.

Feedback is welcome, if people like this I might invest more time and energy into it but as of now, it works as needed (at least for me) :)

Thank you

Septoplasty and turbinate reduction surgery, 4 months post operation, I will have to do a second surgery

Hey all, not sure this is the right sub. But here’s my story, and what’s coming next.

Context
I had a Septoplasty and turbinate reduction surgery in February 2026 after I got hit pretty hard on my face leading to me only being able to breath from my left nostril (not fully also). I could maybe breath 10% from my right nostril and it gets significantly better if i pinch my right cheek to the right. I had to sleep on right side otherwise I could suffocate.

Surgery
Thank god general anaesthesia exists, the hardest part was the recovery and the anxiety of whether the surgery worked. Surgeon was pretty young probably a student as I did my surgery at university klinikum. She told me my nose was very deviated and now it’s good. A checkup after removing my splints confirmed the same, the septum is straight, the nasal passage is open.

Post surgery
Left nostril feels so free now (most of the time, sometimes it blocks completely and breathing is mainly done through the right side) however the right nostril still feels a bit uncomfortable, when I insert my finger (sorry if that’s disgusting) I can feel a huge difference between the two, as in, the nasal passage on the right side is way smaller hinting to an inflammation maybe or big surgery bump scars idk. All in all, both nostrils are better but that 10% on the right side turned to a good 40%. Breathing in also shows only my left nostril moving and closing as in the right one isn’t getting enough air.

4 months check up
My ENT confirmed the same. Straight open nasal passage BUT indeed, the surgery wasn’t perfect and that 40% should’ve been a lot higher. As he inserted a thing on my right nostril (he didn’t check the left nostril for some reason) I told him I breath better now that you take the skin outward from the septum. That’s when he said the following:
- for the next 6 weeks I have to take a steroid nasal spray then stop for another 6 weeks.
- cut off on the smoking (i smoke maybe once a week/2 weeks)
- do a blood test to check if I have any allergies.
- if breathing is still bad, decide on whether to accept it or have another surgery, not a Septoplasty, not a turbinate reduction, but something that has to do with a collapsed nasal, he mentioned that it’s more complicated, there’s the need to take some cartilage and use it to fix some part of the nose so that it doesn’t collapse. And I’m just so over this. Let me breathe for once (figuratively and physically).

What are your guys thoughts of this, what’s the name of the surgery he’s referring to, is it ok that he didn’t compare both nostrils, maybe he missed something more trivial? Or is it taken into account through the nasal spray anyhow?

I also have to mention, the right nostril just doesn’t feel rested, there’s often some bizarre feeling it’s not painful but something is going on, getting tighter, hotter, idk how to describe it. Sometimes it feels uncomfortable when I jump even. Does this hint to just that it’s still undergoing post op recovery? Is this because I pick or blow my nose?

Thank you 😁
