Have an Ortofon blue that's ready for replacement. Ordered a new stylus, easy install. Go to play the album I know inside and out, sounds fine, BUT the volume is almost halved. Exchange it for another one and get the exact same thing.

Pop of the old stylus, no issues, volume was "normal"

Was the original exceptionally loud? Did I get two duds in a row? What gives?
