Tent at CST

I report to CST soon and was told that we would be sleeping outside. I checked the weather in the Fort Knox area, and it seems to rain a lot. I have a few tents that I’ve used in the past, doing multi-day airsoft simulations. What are your thoughts on bringing a smaller tent vs a larger tent? I figure that if I bring the larger tent, more people can sleep in it at the patrol base and may sway their rankings during peer evaluations. The only issue is that it’s inflatable. Do you think the cadre will have generators to power the tent pump?

Negative SPOT for Enforcing Standards

So, I reported to CST and was conducting a layout. During the layout, a SFC or maybe a MSG, either way they didn’t have the diamond, told me to throw away my candy. When I mentioned that this wasn’t listed as an unauthorized item in the literature provided to cadets prior to arrival, they became belligerent. I allowed this NCO to finish and reminded them that I should be treated as a future officer and that they should not be raising their voice. I then asked them to assume the position of attention so that I could share the issue. They began raising their voice and the result was a negative SPOT report. Posting here to see what the group thinks I should do?

Factor Meals at CST

So I eat Factor meals for B/L/D daily. This has been crucial in losing 2.5 lbs within a year. I have a short flight to Kentucky and I plan to pack these meals in a duffel. My question is, should I just have cadre hold my meals while in the field and carry to each site (I’ll be carrying a ruck so will be unable to carry myself)? Like, will they just heat my meals up when the rest of the cadets eat their MREs? Again, this is super important, as my goal is to be down 3 lbs by the end of 2026.
