Witness stories from the Hostage situation a few months back

hey guys, remember that hostage situation a few months back? I’m wondering if any of the witnesses release statements, or told their story on their experience of what happened. I would also be interested in a comprehensive story of what actually happened that day, from a news source or something. I feel like I’ve heard nothing about it since it’s happened.

Asking completely respectfully, of course. My heart goes out to all the victims. I’m sure dealing with the PTSD has not been easy.

Interview ended in the weirdest way

So I had a virtual, first round interview with a hiring manager, and it’s going well, we’re getting along quite well, good energy, chuckling at times, and I’m giving what I think are good answers.
There’s lots of good back and forth and he said I ask great questions as well.

He then ends it by laughing and saying “I’ve interviewed three others so far, and you have given some of the BEST answers… and some of the WORST answers” with a laugh, and then said “I’m going to move you to the next round and I want you to chat with X and X, but I won’t share my impressions of you with them beforehand”.
It was phrased like a compliment so I responded politely and said I was excited, but lightheartedly said I was curious what he meant by “worst answers”, to which he said not to worry about it.

We then ended the call both smiling and thanking each other. But I’m sitting here thinking... Wtf just happened?

Legality of owner taking tips - restaurant

location: California

hi there! I work in a restaurant that is owned by a married couple, and the wife sometimes works shifts where she serves tables, and sometimes when she manages.

when she serves tables, she tips herself out from the tip pool. the tip pool is mandatory for all employees, and we pay the servers, busters, bartenders, and kitchen with it. the husband owner never gets paid from the tip pool. the wife owner does often.

I’ve read online that managers/owners weren’t allowed to pays themselves for tips from a tip pool, even if they’re a manager sometimes and a server others (sort of like an all or nothing thing). is this true?

is this fishy or normal course of business?

TYIA!

hey! I’m going on a haul tonight and want to know which TJs products I should get. Anyone snag any good ones lately?

I’ve been seeing the sunscreen around everywhere so I’m gonna grab that!
