FedEx vs FedEx Express

Please forgive me if I’m not using the correct naming conventions. We have a regular FedEx driver who gets very upset when he has to deliver FedEx Express packages to our house. I do not understand why. I’m truly trying to understand why this makes him so angry. They are small packages. Only about 5 pounds. And the size of a laptop box. They do require a signature. But I’m not sure if that is the reason for his anger. I have only had them delivered by him twice. The first time he mumbled something about being angry that Express could not handle their own packages. The second time, he completely lost his shit. Any insight would be very appreciated.

NAACP AZ State Conference statement on a Tempe PD use-of-force incident - anyone have more details?

The NAACP Arizona State Conference posted an official statement (dated 8/12/26) about a "severe excessive force" incident involving a Tempe resident, saying the involved officers' written reports directly contradict video footage they have in their possession. Tempe PD's Internal Affairs has opened an investigation.

I haven't been able to find any news coverage of this specific incident yet — just the NAACP's own release. Does anyone have additional knowledge of this incident?

Here is the page where the statement was posted. https://www.facebook.com/AZNAACP

There was also a second statement released yesterday, but it did not have any additional information.

Two terrible ordinance changes

Tempe is currently reviewing two significant ordinance changes that would be absolutely devastating for mutual aid organizations and churches participating in mutual aid activities. One involves changes to the parks ordinance and another involves changes to the nuisance ordinance. Both changes would prevent mutual aid organizations from being able to distribute food, clothing, and other essentials on a consistent basis. These new rules are intended to further criminalized and already over criminalized population. They want to try to force people who have already lost their shelter to leave their home of Tempe as well. It’s utterly cruel. I wanted to share a video of me addressing City Council last week.

I think this link where take you to where I start, but if not, it is at 1:01:45.
