Post-Op: when did you feel better?

For those who have had surgery, when did you start to feel significantly better?

I had surgical decompression (1st rib resection, scalenectomy, and pec minor release) on July 1 for nTOS and mild aTOS. I’m still experiencing quite a bit of pain, both at the surgical sites and nervy pain down my arm. I can generally take care of myself but the pain affects my ability to work (desk job), work around the house, and sleep.

For context, I dealt with symptoms for over 5 years pre-surgery and I have hypermobile Ehlers danlos syndrome.

Give me your best post-op tips!

I’m having a first rib resection, scalenectomy, and pec minor release for nTOS on my dominant side. I’ll be in the hospital 3-5 days then staying with my parents for a month after surgery for extra support. I’ve had two shoulder surgeries (and many others) so I’m no stranger to surgery in general, but I’d appreciate any and all post-op tips!

I also have a condition similar to POTS and hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos if you have any specific advice related to managing those post-op.
