Hi! Looking for some advice/similar stories. We had 4 eggs fertilize and all 4 made it to day 5 but my clinic said none made it to blast yet and they’re going to continue watching.
Has this happened to anyone else? I’m so anxious but I feel like it’s positive none arrested before day 5? This is my first go around and already had much lower fertilization than anticipated.

Looking for advice/anyone who has been in this situation. I have lean PCOS (phenotype D) and my husband has mild/moderate male factor (1% motility, 13 million count, 57% motility). I am 33 and husband is 39.
I just did my first egg retrieval and I got 23 eggs, 16 were mature but only 4 fertilized (used ICSI and short abstinence period). I am absolutely shocked and upset. We have to wait and see if those 4 become blasts.
I don’t understand why the fertilization rate was so low. Even my doctor said she thought we would get enough PGTA tested embryos for 2 children.
Has this ever happened to anyone, did you ever find out why? I’m just literally like in disbelief. I only spoke to the nurse and asked about DNA frag but she didn’t really have an answer.
Anyone else that has been in this situation and can shed some info or advice I’d really appreciate.
