Have no clue how to approach
For context, I’m in 6th form (equivalent to college in the UK) and this year I’ve noticed a really cute girl by herself in study periods. She is always sitting on one of the booths with her laptop. She appears to extremely reserved and always has a sad expression on her face occasionally interrupted with a soft smile that could warm the grinches soul.
Problem is, that even when she sits with her friends*? She is still really quiet and always looks really nervous. So talking/approaching almost feels genuinely impossible without seeming like a threat. I have told my close friends (who are a bit knobbish about it) but we have all been stumped on a way initiate a convo that isn’t weird.
She has no social media other than WhatsApp which my friend found via connections but I can’t message her on there due to the fact I haven’t asked for her number.
I am not normally quite socially anxious but with her I feel like I have to be quite careful and give a lot more forethought.
