I want to paint my walls magnolia but everyone hates it

I wanted to pick a nice warm off white/cream color for my walls and I picked out a bunch of samples and eventually landed on magnolia as my favourite, I really liked the sample

I bought all the paint and supplies and then decided to look up 'magnolia walls' so I could get excited about the finished look but then all I see is that everyone hates this color 😅

I see people calling it 'council house walls' or 'smoker walls' and saying how it reminds them of rentals but I wouldn't know because I've never lived in one before.

Some people call it old fashioned or out dated which I actually don't mind because I know that my taste is probably a bit outdated. I was aiming for those nice creams of the 90s/2000s anyway

I really liked the color but everyone's hate for it is quite loud and now I feel like I've made a mistake like there's something I'm not seeing, I don't know if I should swap for a different color now?
