Genuine v Fake Drake’s Ties

Anybody seeing a lot of “new with tags” drake’s ties on marketplaces like mercari and Vinted? It seems like a lot, compared to say ties that have been lightly used etc.

Is there a booming market for fakes? I would have thought with so few people wearing ties today, it’s kinda a niche market to be faking but I’m probably being naive. Does anyone have any experience of fakes or otherwise?

Drake’s MTO

Drakes will be doing some pop-ups with MTO in Asia in the coming weeks and I’m wondering if anyone has any experience of getting a MTO blazer/sport coat from Drakes? I see a few reviews of full suits but am most interested in their tweed games blazers - which I love the look of but don’t suit me off the rack.

Also wondering what kind of MTO markup to expect on top of the standard price - which is already pushing the envelope!

I saw that Sunspel do a nice cotton-linen blend suit that looks perfect for this time of year, but at Sunspel’s prices I want to be a little more certain of quality etc. Anyone have any thoughts to share? Hard to find a Sunspel review that is NOT about the riviera polo 😑
