El Camino Cosmic Fuel 30% THC

Grabbed a 15g tub of El Camino Cosmic Fuel for the RRP of $99 ($6.60/g). It’s a a Canadian import, sponsored by Alma Cannabis. Cultivar is GMO x Mendo Breath, with a dominant terpene spectrum of caryophyllene, limonene and myrcene.

Appearance:
Dense, popcorn-sized buds with a heavy trichome coating and good structure. Mine was on the dry side, compresses under pressure but doesn’t stay sticky.

Packaging:
Comes in a black glass jar with a striking cosmic/psychedelic label, swirling oranges, reds, purples and teals, with “El Camino” in a loose painted script and “Cosmic Fuel” in bold lettering underneath. It’s a much more artistic, illustration-heavy design than a lot of the market, leaning into a trippy, intense aesthetic rather than a clinical or natural-wellness look. The jar also includes an Integra Boost humidity control pack.

Aroma:
Quite pungent and dank, with noticeable sulphur, sweetness and pine. The smell is strong, but a bit of a letdown compared to how the flower looks.

Vaping:
Using an Arizer Air Max, starting at 190°C and working up to 220°C. Flavour is strongest at the lower temperatures. Honestly, it smells better straight from the jar or in the grinder than it does through the vape.

Effects:
This is where it delivers. Quite potent, in line with the 30% THC. Effects are a mix of heavy couch-lock and a cerebral, pressure-behind-the-eyes sensation. Definitely a night-time strain. Best left an hour or two before bed once chores are done. I found this out the hard way by using it a bit too early in the day.

Value:
At $99 for 15g, decent value for the potency on offer. I’d consider buying it again at that price, although the dryness and relatively underwhelming flavour hold it back for me.

Overall: 7/10

Tasmanian Botanics Opal Resin Vape Cartridge, 1g (White Widow)

This is one I tried early in my patient journey and have recently come back to. It's become my go-to day cartridge, and after using it consistently I wanted to put a proper review together. I've also tried White Widow in flower form previously while in Amsterdam, but the cartridge format has been extremely convenient for on-the-go use here.
Picked up the 1g cartridge for the RRP of $69, with THC listed at 800mg/g. Cultivar is White Widow, sativa dominant.

A bit of background on the cultivar: White Widow is a well-known Dutch hybrid, generally described as a cross between Brazilian sativa and resin-heavy South Indian genetics. Its origins are actually somewhat disputed, but it's generally associated with the Dutch cannabis scene of the 1990s and became particularly well known after winning the 1995 High Times Cannabis Cup. I've always found White Widow to have a fairly energetic and cerebral character, which is part of what makes this version work well for me during the day.

Packaging:
Comes in a resealable kraft paper pouch, which makes sense for a cartridge format rather than flower. Inside, the cartridge ships in a rigid blister pack along with a printed patient information leaflet, a nice touch that adds a bit of extra reassurance around handling and dosing.
The branding leans into a coastal, natural wellness look, with muted blue and navy tones and an abstract brushstroke logo, giving it a softer, more clinical-adjacent feel. Country of origin is clearly listed too: API origin, manufacture and packaging are all listed as Australia.

Aroma/Flavour:
Citrus and earthy notes come through clearly when vaping. It's not an especially complex flavour profile, but it's pleasant and consistent.

Vaping:
Using a basic 510-thread pen with just H and L settings, no adjustable voltage. In winter I run it on H, since the cooler weather makes the oil thicken slightly and harder to draw on lower heat. In warmer weather I cycle between the two settings depending on how much vapour I want.

Reliability has been a genuine standout with this cart. I've had issues with other brands where the bottom piece or valve comes loose, clogs with resin, or leaks. None of that here. It's been consistent from first use through to the end of the cartridge.

Effects:
Moderate and about what I'd expect from this type of product. Nothing overwhelming, but reliable and consistent session to session.

For me, this is where the cart really shines. It gives me a noticeable effect without leaving me feeling heavily sedated or impaired, which makes it particularly suited to daytime use. That's ultimately why it's become my regular day cartridge.

Value:
At $69 for 1g, paid at RRP, I think this represents excellent value, especially factoring in the consistency and reliability.
