Potentially expired Oil?

Hi Brains Trust.

A bottle of oil tipped and leaked in my storage case and made all the writing rub off the labels of my oils including the use by date.

As I don't use frequently I'm not sure what the date would be or when it was even purchased.

Does it still looks good to use?

Has anyone tried the THC mouth sprays?

I wanted to try these since I am coming from the wafers which didn't really work. I don't like the idea of damaging my mouth from the excess alcohol from the spray, but i would be willing to try them. They come from South Africa, I believe. Anyone tried?

Prasino Australian Collection - Nutella Crostata

Is anyone else as frustrated as me with Prasino?

Roth’s Pharmacy has been trying to order this in for me and they have sent 2 emails to Prasino only to be repeatedly ignored.

I’m told it hasn’t been released yet, but I’ve seen a review which encouraged me to order said flower.

So now I’m wondering if Prasino have in fact had a hand in generating the review?

All a bit dodgy and unprofessional if you ask me !

Grenco Medical Elite 2

Anyone else decide to grab one of these? I got the email they are now TGA approved so I thought meh what the hell I'll give it a go.

I use a Mighty Medic+ which does the job but I thought I'd just give this one a go, if I don't like it I'll just stick with the mighty.

Expected to arrive to me on Thursday.

Work test

Was tested at work yesterday after not being selected for years.

I had about 20 minutes to prepare so used my kit I have in my drawer (pictured).

Result - passed easily and I didn’t even have to use the mouthwash.

What do we think of the new catalyst by honahlee search updates?

If you haven't seen it, searching for products on honahlee now shows so called 'premium' listings first. This premium status is purchasable by companies and allows for all information about their product to be shown.

I believe the argument is that these details provide greater transparency and therefore they should be shown ahead of the more opaque listings from companies which have not paid honahlee.

The information in question is the basic data that used to be freely available and the whole point of catalyst (patient information brochure, country of manufacture, country of packaging, all growing conditions), and it is now only available for products released by companies who have paid honahlee for the privilege.

As an example, searching for 'daily grape' on honahlee with no other filters used to show chemovar's daily grape as the first listing. It now shows two full pages of 'premium listings' which are all ostensibly not named daily grape. The real daily grape appears at the bottom of the third page.

I understand honahlee has to make money and given direct advertising is illegal the buzzword 'transparency' seems to be the loophole they've settled on - but it does seem difficult to see how this benefits patients. Thoughts?

MC for PTSD, tinnitus and anxiety

Hi all.

I’m a recently discharged veteran, and have been prescribed through Alternaleaf. Is 10 grams of flower at 25%, and 2 carts (1.2 grams) per month the absolute maximum? I don’t enjoy the carts, and would prefer flower but they seem hesitant despite medical certificates and DVA determinations. Is there an in person doctor or online clinic that anyone can recommend? I don’t want to leave Alternaleaf, and have tried to up my dosage or remove the carts for flower but have been told no.

Thanks all.

Exclusion from Course due to smell

I need help.
I’ve been excluded for over a month and now been informed I will not be able to finish my course this year as I was supposed to.
Other than the blatant discrimination that’s gone on I am looking for legal help to action a negligence case against the Uni as failure to follow their own policies has been the cause of me not being able to finish the course.

I can’t suffer another year as a student trying to live easy travel distance to campus. I’m a mature age student with legitimate, physical disability with allergies/ intolerances to nearly all anti inflammatory and pain treatment options.
I don’t consume on campus or for the 2 days of class I have.

The claim is safety related because I work around dangerous machinery but 1) all equipment has extensive safety measures in place and is designed to be safe to use by a plethora of skill sets or lack of, of mostly 19yr olds. I’ve literally been working with ACTUAL heavy and dangerous equipment and driving heavy vehicles in employment for 3 x longer than my classmates have been able to tie their own shoelaces- these weirdos are describing tasks that carry the same danger as making tea and toast as if it’s bomb diffusion….and have included machine use that I have not and will not be using before the course end.

I have recordings of meetings and everything else in email but as it stands, I still don’t know when I will be allowed back and what will be required to make that happen.

Until then, I am officially still on an extended suspension with a no contact order because one person said I smelled strongly of cannabis and from that it was disclosed that I have a prescription- clear admission of no incident having ever occurred or been suspected or alleged.

What is flair? 🌳🤷‍♀️🕺🕺

Redecan PMA (Permanent Marker) 25% Indica

Redecan PMA (Permanent Marker) 25% Indica
Expiry: 06/27

Really impressed with this one.
The buds were fresh with a lovely aroma. It leans more toward gassy with a sweet candy note than the classic permanent marker smell I was expecting, but it’s a really pleasant profile.
Although it’s on the drier side, there’s still a healthy coating of visible trichomes. It chops up nicely, burns evenly, and has a clean, fresh taste.
The effects are where this strain shines. It delivers a strong head high that comes on quickly without immediately knocking you out. One or two cones had me relaxed, enjoying cooking dinner and watching a movie, but anything around three or more and it became a proper evening strain.
At that point the sedation builds nicely and I’m happily couch locked for the rest of the night.
Overall, I’d rate it 8.8/10. Great flavour, smooth burn, and a potent, enjoyable high that creeps into a solid couch-lock if you keep going. Definitely one I’d keep in the rotation for evenings.

Which strain us best

I’m going to be seeing my doctor tomorrow to ask for dried flower as I find the vape affects my teeth (weird). Looking for a good hybrid or indica, I need pain relief mainly, anxiety relief, something that’s kind of euphoric but relaxing.

Thanks x

Review my starter kit for cartridges and dry-herb (Low budget)

Hi all,

Completely new to this and in it for the long haul. I've already bought my kit for both cartridges and dry-herb, so I'm really just checking with this community on whether I'm missing anything.

What I've got so far

  1. Dry herb vaporiser: Dynavap M7
  2. Torch lighter: Honest Torch
  3. Butane refill: HDGAS5, 2 pack
  4. Grinder: Aroma-3 (Most expensive investment)
  5. Cartridge vaporiser: Yocan Uni 3.0, 510 thread

My reasoning

  1. Tried to keep both devices under $120 each
  2. Went a bit higher on the Aroma-3 with (SAVE10 discount) since I'm treating it as a longer-term investment
  3. Didn't buy a storage case or cleaning kit, I've already got about 50 isopropyl alcohol swabs (70%) and a couple of dozen cotton tips on hand for cleaning

What I haven't sorted yet

  1. Storage (no case or stash jar) - do I really need this?
  2. Anything beyond swabs and cotton tips for cleaning - do I need cotton cleaning sticks?

The question

Is there anything obvious missing from this kit, or anything experienced users would add before getting started?

Best cbd/cbg for adhd?

Hello!

Want to be more present with my children and in general as my mind can’t stop thinking!

Any suggestions on what I should get?

But I don’t want to smoke thc all the time due to side effects.

Apparently cbd/CBG combo works well.

I want the best of the best, price doesn’t matter.

Also any experiences : advice regarding this would be great! Thanks!

HUMACOLOGY CBD/CBN & THC/CBD/CBN Pastilles Review

Hey everyone, I wanted to make a DETAILED review on CBD/CBN combined products for my very first time using that combination and CBN/CBD/THC combo together also. I have moderate experience with THC and low to moderate experience with CBD for reference. I am not someone who takes cannabis products daily just fyi I am more of a recreational person. I wanted to see what the hype was around CBN and I wanted to ween of my little 10mg dose of amitriptyline for sleep (for reference I actually sleep really well, I was just on amitriptyline for a sleep/hypnic jerk episode in my life that lasted months to stop it) and move onto something cannabinoid-based for sleep aid. I couldn't find many reviews on reddit, online and YouTube for this particular combination and brand (Humacology) only a very small handful so here is the review with full transparency:

I'm not trying to prove these products work or don't work. I'm simply documenting exactly what I experienced, both good and bad, because that's the type of review I wish I had found before purchasing them & I'm sure there are people out there who are wanting a raw review.

Things to note about me that maybe taken into consideration:

Male, Age 30, currently weighing in at 103kg, 6"1 height. No preexisting health conditions outside of anxiety. I have always slept really easily and good my entire life (always fall asleep in under 30 minutes and stay asleep unless I need to use the bathroom). Amitriptyline 10mg over the last year has made me fall asleep most nights within 15-20 mins. I am on no other medication or supplements, caffeine intake per day for me is around 250-350mg from coffee's, sugar free energy drinks and pre workouts.

Please keep in mind that the goal for me Charcoal was purely sleep, the Pink was for night relaxation so I would take it much earlier in the night, if it happened to help sleep then that was just a bonus, just wanted to make this clear.

**** All gummies were taken 60 minutes after dinner or a snack with fat ****

Charcoal Broad Spectrum 0 THC | 90 CBD | 30 CBN Review:

  • 1/4 gummy the first night (22.5mg CBD & 7.5mg CBN): Felt nothing until about 1 hour and 20 minutes, got a crazy wave of yawns for about 5 minutes then it went away but no heavy eyelids and didn't feel any more tired than i normally would of. Around 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours as I was getting ready to go to sleep i did start to feel very tired but again no heavy eyelids. I stopped watching youtube in bed and just rolled over and didnt remember a thing i fell asleep within 5 minutes easily (This was around 11pm). Woke up at about 12:05am because my dog was barking, i was insanely tired and drowsy, I went back to sleep in a heartbeat and didnt wake up once until 5-10 mins before my 7am alarm, didn't wake up tired or groggy but also didnt wake up "refreshed" like some people do/claim just woke up normally no difference there *(*Note: I had two beers with dinner on Night 1. I wasn't tipsy or drunk, but it's worth mentioning because it may have influenced the experience although the gummy and alcohol were about 90-120 mins apart). However something interesting I did notice was by the time I got to work, grabbed my coffee and sat in my chair (I work an office job) around the 8:30-8:45am mark i did feel as if though my shoulders and neck area felt lighter, I also went for a walk around 10am and noticed i felt like life had slowed down, I felt calmer, i noticed i was walking slower (i normally walk fast on average and always feel rushed) I didnt feel rushed at all, i felt less overstimulated also. I've heard stories and reviews of CBD being calming for people and what not so unsure if this was related to it or not or if it was a weird placebo effect, but for the rest of the day i genuinely felt good and more relaxed/lighter.
  • 1/2 gummy the second night (45mg CBD & 15mg CBN): So, this was interesting, I have pretty much nothing to report, i felt absolutely nothing and around the 1 hour and 45-minute mark into the gummy I rolled over to sleep and was wide awake for about 60-70 minutes, then finally fell asleep. I stayed asleep all night (Research seems to say CBN helps more for sleep maintenance rather than onset but can help onset also) I have seen some research on CBD where the higher you go it can actually make you more alert, everyone's different and this may be why I was wide awake, so 1/4 gummy worked for sleep, 1/2 didn't, but neither dosage that night gave me that relaxed or heavy feeling in the body that some people report (not as strong and high heavy like thc though obviously) and no tension relief or relaxation experienced from 1/4 or 1/2 a gummy. I did get that same feeling the next morning around 8:30am-10:30am at work and going for a walk feeling calmer etc but it wasn't as prominent as the first time on 1/4 gummy.
  • 1 Full gummy (90mg CBD & 30mg CBN): I was going to try 3/4 gummy then a full gummy but after my flaccid 1/2 gummy experience I wanted to jump to a full one. I did not feel too much until around 90 - 120 minutes and I still wasn't entirely sure but i felt like maybe i felt a bit more relaxed and lighter, particularly in my legs. Fell asleep within 10-15 minutes but not entirely sure it was the gummy or not. Didn't wake up tired nor refreshed just normal again and when going for my coffee walk I did feel calmer again and like life slowed down so that was nice, & more relaxed in my shoulders and neck in my chair at work.

Charcoal Final conclusion: Sleep maintenance was very consistent across all doses, outside the first trial due to my dog barking, I didn't wake up in the middle of the night for any reason, i don't wake up in the middle of the night too much in general for no reason but i normally wake up at least once in the middle of the night most days to go to the bathroom or sometimes i just wake up around 5-6am instead of right on or just before my alarm at 7am, so this was a big positive. Feeling calmer the next morning and less rushed and overstimulated was also consistent across all 3 doses. Keep in mind this trial was 3 days in a row one after another. My main goal with the Charcoal gummies was to help with sleep whether it be onset or maintenance, relaxation and mood lift. It definitely helped with sleep (mostly maintenance) relaxation was hard to tell and mood lift wasn't really there, closest thing to this was next morning feeling calmer and less rushed so therefore:

I rate this Product at a 7/10.

Pink Full Spectrum 1 THC | 112 CBD | 12 CBN Review:

  • 1/4 gummy (0.25mg THC, 28mg of CBD & 3mg of CBN): This was taken on a Friday night, definitely felt lighter around 90-120 mins, more relaxed and generally just felt good. Little hard to tell if it was all the gummy though because I had a very busy Friday bit stressful so coming home directly after work that day instead of gym then home, having a nice shower and relaxing on the couch and eating good food, hard to tell if it was completely the gummy or not but I believe it influenced it for sure. Slept fine, no Grogginess to report the next day or feeling refreshed just normal. Cannot really comment on how or if I felt calmer the next day etc cause it was the weekend and I was just chilling at home.
  • 1/2 gummy (0.50mg THC, 56mg of CBD & 6mg of CBN): This was taken on a Saturday night, very similar to 1/4 didn't feel much till 90-120mins, woke up once in the night to go to the bathroom, went back to sleep easily, woke up around 7-8am briefly then easily went back to sleep woke up around 10am. No grogginess in the morning but wasn't refreshed to jump out of bed either just normal. Also, couldn't tell any difference the next day/morning in calmness etc as I was home being the weekend.
  • 1 full gummy: (1mg THC, 112mg of CBD & 12mg of CBN): This was taken on a Sunday night so I have work the next day. I also skipped 3/4 gummy like I did with the charcoal to keep review even and flow better. I did take this one much closer to bed time. Now the full gummy was probably same experience as the 1/4, maybe slightly better it is hard to tell i wont lie. Woke up once around 4:15am to go to the bathroom then fell back asleep pretty easily and woke up about 30mins prior to my alarm at 7am, no grogginess and no refreshed feeling again just normal lol. In the morning when i went to get my coffee where I was running behind and under more time pressure than usual, I felt less stressed and less mentally pressured than I normally would. I wasn't necessarily walking slower because I had to get to work, but I noticed I wasn't as mentally rushed**.**

Pink Final Conclusion: For me personally, all three doses produced similar effects. The full gummy may have been slightly more relaxing, but the difference was subtle to 1/4. The biggest benefit wasn't feeling 'high' as this did not occur, it was feeling calmer, more content and could still very easily function.

I rate this Product at a 7/10 also.

**** If your goal is sleep, the Charcoal was better for this. ****

Everyone responds differently to cannabinoids, so your experience may be completely different to mine. This was simply my personal experience over several consecutive days using these products in in a row. One thing I've felt consistent across all gummies would be feeling like life slowed down, calmer and less stressful the next morning which has been a plus, it probably is the CBD, maybe better sleep quality (not necessarily hours as that didn't really change) so who knows.

If anyone is interested, I'll be experimenting with combinations of the Pink, Charcoal and Stanley Brothers 10mg THC & 10mg CBD gummies over the coming weeks (it will be left for weekends). I'll update this thread with those results in the comments below, I have experience with 10:10 Stanley brother gummies just for reference, anything from 7.5mg up I get high, 10mg is typically too much for me normally so when I have stanley brothers 10:10 in the past i stick to 5mg to 7.5mg. The goal here is to stick to half a Stanley brothers and mix that with different doses of the Pink and/or the charcoal to see how higher THC goes with a bigger CBD ratio and some CBN.

Thank you everyone, I look forward to your comments, any questions and your own experience please post below!

Honahlee Pharmacy Experiences

Hi everyone! As title suggests I’m wondering how everyone’s experiences are with the different pharmacies.

I’ve been a patient for near a year now, and used to strictly shop at Rays. As someone on a budget I have been shopping around on different products for the best deal and out of the three other pharmacies I’ve tried; every time I have a leaky cart arrive at my door.

Doesn’t matter brand, i always have at least one leak. Obviously the pharmacies are kind, do their jobs and send me a return label for a switch. However I don’t always got time for that 🤷‍♀️ and I have never had this issue once during the months I was a strict Rays shopper.

Is it just me? Does anyone recommend a go to? Should I just plan better and use Rays for “I want meds asap.” Please let me know your thoughts and opinions, this is the fourth time I’ve had this happen and while it’s not the end of the world, but I’m still over being slightly inconvenienced.

Alternative to Alternaleaf?

Alternaleaf was my first introduction to medical cannabis and so I don't have much knowledge on other prescribers. All I know is that Alternaleaf is expensive as fuck; I'm paying $154 every two weeks for 10g.

I've heard prices can be as low as $80 for 10g, or at least something around that. Are there prescribers with prices like these that don't skimp on flower quality? Does anyone have any recommendations for me? My current prescription is for 30g of Sativa a month.

Best brand agnostic clinic to switch to as of right now under my circumstances (read below)

Family member has extreme pain mostly spinal/nerve pain and high % flower is best thing for her, she’s on cannalink currently but it’s shit, is horizon a good alternative? Looking for suggestions on what’s the best brand agnostic clinic to switch to especially ones that prescribe high % for a good price

I’m likely going to go with horizon bc that’s one that is still being recommended to this day whereas they often turn to shit overtime but horizon seems to have a good reputation to this day and the consult fee is cheap but if anybody has other recommendations or info I’d like to hear let me know

The script she’s getting now from cannalink is 30% but she literally paid $200 plus shipping for 15g tub which is ridiculous bc ik there’s far better alternatives

Bathera - Blue Z 30g Bag

Sorry, I know I said I would post this over a week ago, but I went away camping. I also apologies for the shit photo, I thought it was a good photo at the time, I guess let that be a testament to the effects on this 😂

The consistency between the first batch and this is remarkable, aesthetics, nose and effects are nearly exactly like the first batch. Super terpy with that typical blue z smell, taste translation is great.

Super euphoric and mood lifting but also relaxing at the same time. I think this flower has to be one of the best flowers for when you are not feeling the best. Strong rec for people with suffering stress or anxiety issues!

My only complaint is, I wish it was a 15g instead of a 30g, just takes too much of my rotation now doctors have started cutting down limits.

Cultiva Blue Pave 26% Indica Review

I’d been keen on this Blue Pave since seeing it under ‘coming soon’ on Catalyst, it’s an Azul Runtz x Pave cross. Pave’s got obvious hints of Paris OG/Menthol lurking, and Azul Runtz supposed to bring the fruit (can confirm). Picked it up mainly for sleep and to take the edge off some anxiety.

Strain: Blue Pave (indica dominant)

THC: 26%

Dominant Terpenes: Limonene, Caryophyllene, Linalool, Myrcene, Selinene

Prescribed Condition/Symptoms: Sleep/Insomnia, Stress/Anxiety

Aromas & Flavours: Blueberry, Kush, Fuel (from catalyst)

Batch: #PV-0001

RRP: $159 / 10g / glass jar + box

Appearance

Blue Pave isn’t the tight, golf ball nug you sometimes see marketed. The structure is more stretched and spikier, calyx’s stretch out rather than ball up. Base colour is olive green, but there’s tints of dark purple, almost black through a lot of the calyxes.

Trichome coverage is more than generous, the green and purple still shows through underneath. Trim is tidy, not much sugar leaf left on, and it held together fine in the jar without falling apart in my hand or grinder.

Aroma

Cracked the jar expecting straight gas and I ended up getting more sweet, fruity notes instead. I broke it apart and it got more complex, more layers coming through rather than one note dominating. Limonene, caryophyllene, linalool, myrcene and selinene as the terpenes here, and that tracks well with what’s listed on catalyst.

Flavour

Only tried this one as a joint so far, haven’t gotten to the vape yet. Inhale is more on the citrus side. Exhale is clean and smooth. It burns slow.

Effects

It settled in my head more than the body. No dry mouth, no dry eyes. Worked for me during the day and at night (i would still have this at night to be safe). Duration was approximately 2-3 hours.
