Emotional Ending *Spoilers*
This may be my personal opinion but I feel the ending of Jin and Shimuras story is super impactful. Jin is hoping that he may make amends with Shimura now that the Mongol threat is crumbling. He knows it'll be difficult since the samurai code of honor hasn't worked, and he did what he had to do to save his people. But during your ride with Shimura, he keeps letting his anger show during the conversation.
Once you reach the cemetery and Shimura reveals he has been tasked with killing you as ordered by the Shogun...the weight really hits you. Seeing the tears on Shimura's face is key. You can tell he hates having to do this. Especially with the dialogue:
Shimura: "You were my son. Now I must continue the line of Shimura without you. I must start a new family."
Jin: "My head is the cost."
Shimura: "Taking it is my punishment."
Shimura: "Our final day together...it is beautiful."
Anyone else feel the impact at this scene?
