out of everyone i know, i’m basically the only person doing medicine/pre-med, so it can get kinda isolating sometimes lol i’ve realized i work a lot better when other people are also studying at the same time because it keeps me accountable. thought maybe it could be cool to make a small study group or even do occasional zoom study sessions during the week, would be nice to meet more people going through the same stuff, anyone interested?

Hi everyone, I have about 3 months till I take the MCAT and thus far I haven't really done anything productive it seems. I have no idea where to start and it's really hard for me to focus for hours on end. I additionally work a few hours a day so I feel like I'm wasting time when I could be studying for the MCAT. Is it possible to get a good score without studying 8+ hours a day?

To preface, I'm really huge on balance. I understand that there's a certain amount of time a person can focus and I try to take breaks every 1 1/2 hours or so. I am also going to the gym (I try to listen to an MCAT podcast and do Anki in my breaks), taking time before bed to read a book, and making sure I don't do MCAT stuff while I eat. My problem is that I find it hard to get the motivation or discipline to keep going. I feel like everything I learn is just going to waste (I'm waiting on my Kaplan books which have been delayed). I am trying to do 2-3 passages a day, including the Jack Westin daily passages. I've also taken a half-length exam as a quick diagnostic which showed (and enforced through my daily passages) that the bio/biochem and chem/phys sections are my worst scores. A lot of it is just knowledge gaps, not necessarily data interpretation. On top of that, I'm doing the UWorld online textbooks (free trial) since my Kaplan books aren't here yet. I'm doing daily Amino Acid and unit conversion recalls and plan on doing equation recalls when I get to those points in my content review.

I just feel like all of this is so much for how little time is offered in a day, and I just simply cannot find the motivation to do a lot. Is there any suggestions to help?

I made a comprehensive schedule and I need help making sure I'm not missing anything. Some days seems lighter or easier because I plan on traveling a bit. Help a gal out!
